As a cinephile with over three decades of film and television-watching under my belt, I must say that the news of The Good Ship Murder’s return for seasons 2 and 3 has me more than just excited – it’s got me doing the Cabaret Samba in my living room!
During the initial run of The Good Ship Murder, the characters Jack (played by Shayne Ward), a former police officer turned singer at a cabaret, and Kate (portrayed by Catherine Tyldesley), the ship’s first officer, collaborated to unravel various murder mysteries on their Mediterranean-cruising vessel. They received support from their fellow crew members throughout the process.
Initially, their relationship began coldly, but eventually, they turned out to be an ideal match, both in their professional and personal lives, as affection between them grew.
But will they be back for more?

The new eight-part season arrives on Channel 5 on Friday 10th January at 9pm.
