Over the years, video games, merchandise, real-life events, mobile experiences, and more have all contributed significantly to the lasting success that Pikachu and his companions experienced since their debut in the ’90s. Recently, The Pokemon Company has launched a new series called “Monpoke” specifically geared towards a much younger audience than the anime monsters have traditionally targeted. This fresh series will introduce the tiniest versions of Pocket Monsters yet, and a brand-new video clip has been released as a sneak peek.
The upcoming animated series called “Monpoke” will debut on Pokemon Kids YouTube channel in February 2025. This series is centered around miniature versions of some popular Pokemon characters, and it’s being led by several well-known anime creators. Reiko Yoshida, who has worked on shows like “Tokyo Mew Mew,” “K-ON!”, and “Non Non Biyori,” is the primary writer for this series. Additionally, studio Fanworks, which previously collaborated with Sanrio’s “Hello Kitty” to create the hit anime series “Aggretsuko” on Netflix, will also be involved in the production of Monpoke.

After Ash Ketchum and his loyal Pikachu bid farewell in the anime, fresh trainers named Liko and Roy have stepped into the spotlight in “Pokemon Horizons”. This new series, now available on Netflix in North America, offers a fresh perspective on the franchise. Instead of striving to be the greatest Pokemon trainers globally, Roy and Liko are focused on safeguarding some legendary artifacts from being misused by the Explorers.
