S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Has Already Turned a Profit

As a gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can confidently say that the anticipation for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl was palpable, and it’s not every day you get to play a game that turns a profit within its first month of release! It’s like winning the lottery for developers, and as a player, I feel like I’ve struck gold too.

Just recently unveiled following years of anticipation, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl encountered several technical difficulties upon release, yet the open-world shooter developed by GSC Game World still managed to captivate many players due to its numerous compelling aspects. To put it into perspective, a significant number of individuals have been drawn in by this game.

To clarify, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has already surpassed the point where it starts earning money. During an interview with Forbes Ukraine, Maxim Krippa, owner of GSC Game World, shared that the game has reached a level of sales sufficient to begin making profits. However, he did not disclose the exact number of copies sold or the budget for development and marketing, though he did confirm that a significant amount, “tens of millions of dollars,” was invested in the project.

Last month, it was announced by GSC Game World that the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 managed to sell more than a million copies in just the first three days after its launch.

You can now play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl on Xbox Series X/S and computers. Check out our review of the game by clicking here.
