As a lifelong Superman fan who’s seen more than a few iterations of the Man of Steel, I must say, the new trailer for “Superman” has left me positively giddy with anticipation! The prospect of seeing David Corenswet don the cape and fly across the silver screen is an exciting one.
Similar to how Batman has had multiple versions, so too has Superman, and the most recent actor to put on the cape is David Corenswet. A sneak peek at him as Superman can be seen with the arrival of the latest Superman trailer.
As a die-hard movie enthusiast, I can’t contain my excitement for “Superman,” the first feature film from DC Studios, scheduled to fly into global cinemas in summer 2025, courtesy of Warner Bros. Pictures. Known for his unique storytelling, James Gunn is now breathing life into the original superhero in a fresh reinterpretation of the DC universe. With a masterful blend of action, laughter, and emotion, this Superman will captivate us with his compassion and unwavering faith in humanity’s goodness.
The movie is being produced by DC Studios’ leaders, Peter Safran and Gunn, with Gunn himself set to direct the film, having written the script himself, inspired by DC characters, and originated by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, who created Superman.
In the movie, Rachel Brosnahan from “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” plays Lois Lane, while Nicholas Hoult known for his roles in “X-Men” films and “Juror #2” portrays Lex Luthor. Additionally, the cast includes Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, María Gabriela de Faría, Wendell Pierce, Alan Tudyk, Pruitt Taylor Vince, and Neva Howell.
We’re really excited to watch Nicholas Hoult portray Lex Luthor, a role that will likely differ significantly from previous interpretations by actors like Gene Hackman, Kevin Spacey, and Jesse Eisenberg.
Superman will be released in the UK on 11th July 2025
