John Lennon’s Son Julian Details Undergoing Surgery for Cancerous Mole

After reading about these remarkable individuals who have faced and conquered various types of cancer, I am truly inspired by their strength, resilience, and determination to live life to the fullest. Each one of them has turned their darkest hour into a beacon of hope for countless others battling similar challenges.

Julian Lennon is sharing an update on his health.

Almost five years since the son of John Lennon, a former Beatle, had a cancerous mole on his head surgically removed by his ex-wife Cynthia Lennon, he revealed that he has just gone through an emergency operation to take out another cancerous mole.

Before jetting off to New York from Los Angeles for my appearances on Good Morning America, Sirius XM, iHeart Radio, and my Fotografiska Q&A Book Signing Event on X Dec. 18, I first paid a visit to my regular dermatologist, as is my custom when in LA. This dermatologist, Dr. Tess, was the one who detected and performed surgery on my mole/skin cancer several years ago, effectively saving my life. Julian shared this heartfelt sentiment.

He mentioned that he got a pressing message from Doctor Tess, instructing him to immediately return to Los Angeles. Apparently, there were two spots on his skin, one each on his shoulder and forearm. One of these spots was identified as Melanoma and needed urgent surgery.

Instead of rushing back, the 61-year-old, who recently discussed his new photography book on talk shows earlier this month, chose to return promptly for the medical procedure.

Instead of heading home to set up my Christmas tree and peacefully wrap up the year, I instead flew straight back to Los Angeles once my work in New York was completed. From the moment I arrived at LAX airport, I went straight to surgery.

Despite Julian not learning about the specifics of his biopsy results until post-holidays, he underscored that “the surgery turned out well”.

He also urged followers to “get yourself checked out by your doctor.”

“It only takes a short while to do so, and you may just be saving your own life, at the end of the day,” he shared. “So please, for the sake of yourself, your family and friends just go to your Dr and do what must be done… I love life and I want to live for a very long time and this is one way, and a choice, that could determine your future.”

2020 saw the artist known for “Too Late for Goodbyes” expressing thoughts about a challenging incident where he underwent a mole removal from his head. This event left him feeling quite unsettled within.

He went on to say, “Life is precious; don’t waste it through ignorance about your own wellbeing. Sending love to everyone.
