As a seasoned cinema-goer who has witnessed more reality TV shows than I care to admit, I must say that The Great Christmas Sewing Bee 2024 was a delightful spectacle! From the moment Sara Pascoe donned her sewing apron and started cracking puns, I knew I was in for a treat.
For the 2024 season, the renowned Christmas Sewing Competition came back, boasting an impressive array of famous personalities competing.
For this episode, talk show host Sara Pascoe welcomed Ian “H” Watkins (from the band Steps), soap opera actress Kellie Bright (known for her role in EastEnders), comedian Fatiha El-Ghorri, and reality TV personality Charlotte Crosby. This entertaining gathering was brimming with jokes and puns.
The initial assignment had the seamstresses tackling a homemade advent calendar, designed to reflect their unique character.
I was the one who emerged on top in the task related to the tree, and surprisingly, I managed to squeeze in teaching the 5,6,7,8 routine to my fellow performers as well!
In the next round, the competitors were tasked with transforming a baby’s onesie into a costume of their preference.
Once more, it was H who emerged victorious in the task, accompanied by his adorable reindeer, though it appeared pregnant. However, H’s triumph was challenged by Charlotte, whose enchanting costume adorned with stars came very close to securing the win.
While it looked like H was going to sweep the competition, the third task proved very different.
Celebrities needed to create a fitting design, drawing inspiration from their favorite top-charting holiday song for Christmas.
On this particular event, every competitor truly shone, but it was Kellie’s fabulous red jumpsuit, reminiscent of Wham!’s Last Christmas, that really stole the show.
As a result, Kellie Bright was named the winner of The Great Christmas Sewing Bee 2024!
