The next CODMas event is live in Black Ops 6, and its brought Stakeout 24/7 back for the festivities

As a tech enthusiast with countless hours invested in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, I must say, Treyarch has truly outdone themselves with this latest update! The return of Stakeout 24/7 and the new Archie Festival Frenzy event are just the cherry on top of an already action-packed game.

The Merry Mayhem event in Call of Duty has concluded, but don’t put away your holiday cheer just yet! CODMas is still going strong with a fresh two-week event called Archie’s Festival Frenzy, starting today. Alongside this new event comes exciting rewards, a brand-new sniper rifle for your collection, and the popular Stakeout 24/7 playlist making its comeback.

Day and night, I find myself drawn to the electrifying rhythm of Stakeout 24/7, a playlist standout that’s won hearts with its rapid tempo and frenetic gameplay. Amongst the rotating lineup of game modes – Domination, Kill Confirmed, Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, and Kill Order – it’s only Stakeout, the Strike map, that graces our screens.

In Call of Duty games, they often switch up the availability of game modes to keep things exciting, but with certain favorite modes like Stakeout being frequently taken out, players are asking Treyarch to permanently include it in the regular rotation. For now, we can simply appreciate it while we can, as it’s currently featured in both the Standard and Intense playlists.

On Stakeout, players will amass kills, but they’ll also gather Jolly Archies. These can be traded in for in-game perks through the event menu. Players stand to gain fresh calling cards, loading screens, emblems, double XP tokens, and even a Zombies mode Gobblegum bundle. By completing all event tasks, players will also unlock the AMR Mod 4 sniper rifle.

It turns out that not every player needs the full two weeks of the event to collect all rewards. Players such as myself can unlock everything, including the new sniper rifle, without playing a single match because I have enough Jolly Archies on my Activision Account. Neither Treyarch nor anyone else from the Call of Duty team has addressed this oversupply of Jolly Archies, and there are no plans to offer more items for players to unlock during the event’s duration.

The Call of Duty’s Merry Mayhem event received significant criticism from players due to its heavy dependence on AI-generated images for calling cards, loading screens, and in-game prizes. Meanwhile, Treyarch utilized AI-created image art for Nuketown and their self-designed Archie Atom character during the Archie Festival Frenzy event.
