However, as a die-hard fan of the original series, I must admit that the modernization of the HUD left me yearning for the good old days.

Nevertheless, some devoted fans have expressed disappointment over the game’s updated user interface (HUD) design.

Fortunately, an extraordinary modder has revived the vintage HUD in high definition for the latest sequel, and it’s nothing short of magnificent.
Stalker 2 Classic HUD returns
FellowDemo’s creation, titled “Clear Sky-inspired HUD,” replicates the bold, dark outlines of the 2008 game’s UI, enhancing the game with a distinctive style. Yet, for those yearning for the authentic Stalker aesthetic, PieceMaker085 has carefully recreated it.
On Nexus Mods as well, you’ll find the ShoCified UI mod. This mod recaptures the gritty, industrial appearance of Shadow of Chernobyl with its weathered frames. While Stalker 2 adopts a more contemporary tablet-style design for its in-game PDA, this mod reintroduces the captivating, distinct aesthetic from the original game.
To keep experiencing that iconic Stalker vibe from the original games, another modification for the latest sequel also features the original game’s typography. Created by FellowDemo, this classic font mod primarily switches out the current fonts in the game with the original game’s typeface. Unfortunately, some less frequently used characters aren’t yet supported in this modification.
To complete the timeless aesthetic of Stalker 2, a modder has also reintroduced the iconic rotating radioactive symbol from the original game into the in-game cursor. You can find this enhancement on Nexus Mods immediately.
