Teen Mom: Maci Bookout’s Son Addresses Prospect of Being a Teen Parent

As I delve into these captivating tales of resilience and love, it’s evident that each of these women has navigated their own unique journey through parenthood and relationships. The common thread binding them all is the unyielding spirit they embody, a testament to the strength that lies within us all.

Maci Bookout’s son is almost the same age she was when she had him.

As a lifestyle expert, I must say it’s quite fascinating to observe the teenage years fast-approaching for the offspring of the original “Teen Mom” cast. From Amber Portwood’s daughter to Ashley Jones’, Briana DeJesus’, Catelynn Baltierra’s, Cheyenne Davis’, Jade Cline’s, Leah Messer’s, and Mackenzie McKee’s children – it’s a significant milestone for each of them as they turn 16.

In a sneak peek of the upcoming special for Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, Maci’s son Bentley finds himself taken aback when she reminds him, “You’re about to be sixteen years old.

Which causes the teen to tell his mom, “I don’t know what I’d do if I had a kid right now.”

The upcoming season, starting on January 30th, showcases various rites of passage experiences for both parents and their teenagers. These include going to prom, learning how to drive, and preparing for college.

Additionally, while focusing on fresh experiences, it’s worth reflecting on how the main characters initially found themselves: Pregnant teenagers, each just 16 years old, anticipating the arrival of a new life.

In a flashback, Catelynn questions the cameras, “How can I care for a child if I’m still a child myself?

These days, the concerns of these individuals are significantly altered. On the current season of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, Leah, Maci, and Amber grapple with raising children who are at an age where they could potentially become parents themselves, much like their mothers once were. Simultaneously, Cheyenne and Mackenzie aspire to grow their families further, while Bri takes steps to prevent future pregnancies. The relationships between Jade and Ashley’s families are also undergoing change.

At the same time, Catelynn and her spouse, Tyler Baltierra, struggle with the anguish of placing their daughter up for adoption, as their connection with Carly’s adoptive parents becomes increasingly complicated.

They’ve frequently discussed their relationship openly on social media platforms, with Catelynn expressing her thoughts as to why she believes Brandon Davis and Teresa Davis might have restricted her communication with their daughter, Carly.

At the close of each day, it appears that Carly’s parents might feel anxious or apprehensive due to Carly inquiring about our continued separation and proposing ideas like traveling to see her during weekends. This is how Catelynn put it on her Instagram Story in September. “I am a firm believer in supporting Carly’s affection for her parents, who have shown nothing but love and care for her. However, maintaining distance doesn’t seem to benefit Carly.

In her own words, Catelynn, who shares daughters Novalee (9), Vaeda (5), and Rya (2) with Tyler, explained that as a biological mother, one doesn’t have the power to decide or control certain things. All she can do is demonstrate her efforts and continue trying, so that when Carly, their adopted daughter, grows up, she will be able to comprehend who made an effort to be part of her life, giving her the freedom to make her own decisions.

For Maci, who brought Bentley into the world with her former partner Ryan Edwards, she’s been open about how her co-parenting relationship has significantly improved in recent times. In fact, it’s progressed to a point where she and her husband Taylor McKinney have no issues spending time with Ryan.

Over the past five years, I must confess that I found myself questioning your sanity, as if we were on two different planets. To me, it seemed like a pipe dream, something that would never materialize.

Everyone participating has put in a tremendous amount of effort,” the 32-year-old, who is also mother to Jayde, 9, and Maverick, 8, with Taylor, further stated. “In truth, we have been focusing on self-improvement. Therefore, it’s only natural that things are falling into place.

In 2009, during the first season of 16 and Pregnant, viewers witnessed Catelynn Lowell and her partner, Tyler Baltierra, face a challenging decision: to give their first-born daughter, Carly, up for adoption. After thirteen years together, they tied the knot in August 2015. Since then, this beloved couple has expanded their family with three more daughters: Novalee, Vaeda, and Rya.

Although the lack of Carly, who resides with her adopted parents Brandon and Teresa Davis, continues to be felt deeply, they cherish their meetings.

As an ardent admirer, I can tell you that my little ones simply adore her – it’s Carly, mind you! Witnessing their affection is nothing short of amazing. We feel incredibly fortunate to have an open adoption arrangement, allowing us this unique opportunity. Truly, it’s a blessing beyond measure to observe the beautiful journey unfold over the years.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it as: In my analysis, approximately half a year into their relationship, Maci Bookout found herself navigating the challenges of an unreliable partner in Ryan Edwards on the show ’16 and Pregnant’. Despite their engagement, they parted ways barely a year after welcoming their son Bentley into the world in 2008.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it as: In my current situation, I’m dedicated to fostering a strong co-parenting bond. Back in 2023, when I spoke with TopMob News, I shared that Ryan is becoming more regular and consistent in our co-parenting duties than ever before.

In 2012, Maci discovered her long-term partner, Taylor McKinney from Texas, and the duo started expanding their team shortly thereafter. They were blessed with daughter Jayde in May 2015, followed by son Maverick a year after, and they tied the knot in Florida in October of the same year.

In 2023, she told TopMob News about her partner: “He’s my partner in life, parenting, and our TTM Lifestyle fashion brand. I said, ‘He’s just my person.’ Despite any tough times we’ve faced as a couple, I’d rather experience those challenges with him than with anyone else. Even when I feel like punching him sometimes, I’d prefer to argue with him or go through rough patches together, rather than never have a challenging moment with another.

Regardless of having new romantic partners, the MTV celebrities – who bonded during the filming of The Challenge – still share parental responsibilities for their daughter named Ryder.

Cheyenne shared with TopMob News in March 2020, “From the very start of Cory being part of Ryder’s life, our main focus has been about the kind of father he wanted to be and the kind of parent he aspired to be. I wouldn’t settle for him being a ‘Disneyland dad’ or an ‘Instagram dad,’ always seeking the perfect moment. He had to be fully committed. From the beginning, I believe he recognized my approach and respected it, which is why our co-parenting works so well.

Following the conclusion of their romance in 2018, they decided to attempt rekindling their relationship. During Cheyenne’s 28th birthday celebration, she announced on Instagram that they were back together. In May 2021, they had their first child, a son named Ace, and tied the knot in September 2022.

In an interview with TopMob News in 2024, Cheyenne shared, “For the past two years, we’ve been crossing items off our bucket list. Our dream was to have a baby, and we welcomed Ace into our family. We yearned for marriage, and we had our beautiful wedding ceremony. Our goal was to purchase a home, and we were fortunate enough to buy our house.

Now, she added, “I have no desire for action. No ambition to establish a goal. Instead, I long for tranquility. My aim is simply to remain still and content with our current state. To appreciate each other more deeply. That’s all I crave, nothing more.

Reminiscing back on my unforgettable moments during filming “Ex on the Beach,” I never imagined that it would lead to something as extraordinary as falling in love with none other than Taylor Selfridge, a star from “Are You the One?” Fast forward through years, two beautiful daughters Mila and Maya now in our lives, we’re still creating ripples together.

In 2023, he revealed to TopMob News that they had recently purchased a new home. He also mentioned that the topic of their marriage was being discussed, although details such as the ring and formal proposal were still pending. Taylor is eagerly awaiting this special moment, and so is he, as it’s something they both desire. For now, they are focusing on making progress towards their upcoming nuptials.

After getting married to Mackenzie Standifer in May 2017, Ryan sought help at a rehab facility not long after the wedding. Their first child, Jagger, was born in 2018 while Ryan was still undergoing treatment.

Despite welcoming their daughter Stella in January 2020, Mackenzie filed for divorce three years later.

Despite their highly controversial relationship ending permanently in 2013, the pair have managed to establish a cooperative parenting arrangement for their now-adolescent daughter Leah.

In an interview with TopMob News in January 2022, Amber shared, “We enjoy each other’s company from afar, but our bond remains strong. Our connection has evolved into something more like a family, which is what we prioritize above all else now.

Over the course of several thrilling years, I’ve been an ardent follower of Amber and Matt Baier, the charismatic Boston transplant. After a heartfelt proposal and a brief, yet tumultuous stint on “Marriage Boot Camp”, they decided to call off their engagement in 2017 – a decision that left many fans like me with bated breath.

On Dr. Drew Pinsky’s podcast, Amber admitted, “Eventually, there comes a time when one simply grows tired of listening and begins to feel indifferent in a relationship. I believe this is what started happening between me and him.” She continued, “I stopped caring about the relationship as much as I should have, and built up walls to protect myself from getting hurt again.

I, an over-the-moon fan, am thrilled to share that during my time on the set of “Marriage Boot Camp”, I stumbled upon a love so profound—with none other than Andrew Glennon. We officially stepped out as a couple at the 2017 MTV Movie Awards, and in the enchanting month of May 2018, our little miracle, James, graced us with his presence.

However, shortly following Amber’s arrest for domestic battery in July 2019, the couple chose to part ways. After a challenging legal dispute, it was decided in 2022 that Andrew, originally from California, would be granted sole legal and primary physical custody of their child.

The “Teen Mom” celebrity expressed this during an interview with TopMob News: “I’ve put in a lot of effort to grow personally and strengthen my bonds with my kids.” She has been open about her history of substance abuse and mental health issues, but she believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to make amends for their past mistakes and not be defined solely by them.

Undeterred by obstacles, she stated, “Even if your journey hasn’t been smooth sailing, yet you’ve strived to grow into a stronger, steadier, and compassionate individual today, continue your progress just as I do. I promise, I won’t back down in my pursuit for the children I cherish above all else.

Following an online encounter with Amber, Dimitri Garcia first appeared on “Teen Mom OG” in April 2020. On the program, Amber disclosed, “Dimitri is from Belgium, he’s 39, making him ten years my senior. However, he’s quite an attractive man.” She continued, “I gradually opened up to him and we both agreed it was best to meet since we have mutual feelings for each other.

In April 2021, I shared on the Teen Mom OG reunion special that Dimitri and I were still together. We’ve been acquainted for approximately 18 months, but it has been a year since we last saw each other. Although Dimitri and I never officially confirmed a breakup, during a June 2024 episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, I introduced my new love interest, Gary Wayt.

In the autumn of 2023, after Amber matched with Gary 2.0 on a dating app, he popped up in her view when she presented him to her fellow ‘Teen Mom’ colleagues during a video call.

Despite his proposal in May 2024, their relationship didn’t last long. During her stay in North Carolina for her brother’s wedding in June, a quarrel between them resulted in Gary leaving abruptly, causing Amber to file a missing person report.

And while Gary was soon located, the duo’s engagment wasn’t the only thing left broken.

Amber shared, on “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter,” that she spent three to four days believing her fiancé was deceased. She had to endure grieving and attempting to comprehend why anyone would do such a thing to her. At this moment, she is going through a difficult experience.

She went on to say, “This man shattered me. Previously, I had been strong and steadfast. However, for the first time in many years, I’m not feeling quite myself because a man proposed to me with a ring.

Several months passed following the arrival of their daughter Emilee in April 2015, and Gary eventually married Kristina Anderson in a charming beach wedding ceremony.

In a heartfelt Instagram post from 2022, I expressed, “You have one of the most radiant spirits I’ve encountered. I can’t help but wonder how I could navigate this journey without your presence.

Two months before the birth of Farrah Abraham’s daughter Sophia in December 2008, Sophia’s father tragically passed away in an accident.

As a devoted admirer, I’d like to share that my first significant post-high school romance, with Simon Saran, a seasoned real estate agent, spanned more than two years, marked by periods of on-again, off-again dynamics.

Despite their 2017 breakup becoming quite contentious, they attempted to maintain a friendship – albeit with some difficulty.

Simon shared with TopMob News that he holds no grudges against Farrah. He explained, “Our paths are simply very different. She seems to prefer a manufactured existence, while I value authenticity. I genuinely hope she thrives and achieves great success in all her upcoming ventures.

Jenelle Evans and Andrew Lewis, who are Jace’s parents, separated shortly after he was born in 2009. Regrettably, Jenelle has had minimal participation in her son’s life since then.

2019’s Teen Mom 2 episode had me pondering: I can’t help but feel a pang of guilt because he’s Jace’s dad, yet…I understand his nature, and I don’t wish for him to let down my son. I dread the thought of him reappearing only to vanish again.

Following a one-year marriage with Courtland Rogers and the birth of her second child, Kaiser, from an earlier relationship with Nathan Griffin in 2014, Jenelle later got married to David Eason on their property in North Carolina in September 2017. This event took place eight months after they had welcomed their daughter, Ensley, into their family.

Following a difficult period, David was accused and charged with a minor child abuse offense concerning Jace. Jenelle compared this situation to a smear campaign against him. Later, she disclosed that they had parted ways. “I wanted to proceed directly to divorce,” she shared on social media, “but due to North Carolina’s laws, you must be legally separated for a year, and you need to demonstrate that you have two distinct residences.

Recall the charming individual who once inquired from his girlfriend, Chelsea Houska, about when he could finalize the documents regarding their past error?

Completely in the rearview.

Despite the initial challenges, the former Teen Mom star-turned-HGTV personality maintains an amicable bond with her high school ex, Adam Lind, who is Aubree’s father. As she shared with Us Weekly, “There’s no negative energy and it’s a very open relationship.” She added, “We don’t have any bad feelings towards each other. We occasionally see him, and everything is smooth sailing.

In 2014, a chance encounter at a gas station marked the start of an unbreakable bond. This bond was sealed when they got married in October 2016. Since then, their family has grown with the arrival of their son Watson in 2017, followed by daughters Layne and Walker in 2018 and 2021. Most recently, they have embarked on a shared venture: their HGTV series titled “Down Home Fab”.

Speaking with TopMob News, Chelsea expressed her desire for their potential return to TV. She wanted the content to be uplifting, enjoyable, and allow them to express their genuine personalities. In her words, this seemed like an amazing chance to achieve that goal.

Despite their efforts to transform their friendship into a lifelong partnership, Leah Messer and Corey Simms, who were high school sweethearts, decided to part ways just six months after their October 2010 marriage. This decision affected their twin daughters, Aleeah and Aliannah, who are now teenagers.

Corey has been married to Miranda Patterson since 2013.

In the year 2012, Leah got married to Jeremy Calvert, and the following year they had a child named Adalynn.

Despite parting ways in 2015, they’ve strived diligently to coparent their daughter, with outcomes that can sometimes be challenging. Leah shared her thoughts with TopMob News, expressing, “I’m witnessing the best version of myself yet. Watching them indulge in what brings them joy and being able to encourage and participate in their lives is nothing short of enchanting. I adore it. I adore being a mother, particularly a mom to girls.

By the year 2021, when Leah made their relationship Instagram official with Jaylan Mobley, this U.S. Army officer had already won over both Leah and her children.

The couple announced their engagement in August 2022, but broke up that October.

A year after the split, the ‘Teen Mom’ celebrity admitted to TopMob News that she needed it. She shared that she has gained valuable insights from her past breakup and feels excited about the new phase of her life, as if it was just starting fresh.

Back in the year 2010, I, Kailyn Lowry, was only seventeen when I, along with my then-high school sweetheart Jo Rivera, became parents to our firstborn son, Isaac.

Despite splitting a year afterwards, they have established a harmonious co-parenting relationship now, with Kailyn hosting her ‘Baby Mamas No Drama’ podcast alongside Jo’s wife, Vee Torres. “We’ve traveled quite a distance from being 18,” wrote Kailyn following their 2018 wedding. “I couldn’t wish for a better stepmother for Isaac.

In November 2013, Kailyn’s second child, Lincoln, became part of the team. This was about a year after Kailyn, who was then a prominent figure on Teen Mom 2, got married to Lincoln’s father, Javi Marroquin.

In late 2016, their relationship experienced ups and downs. Javi and partner Lauren Comeau, who already had a son named Eli, announced in December 2023 that they were expecting their second child, a daughter.

During their ups and downs in their relationship, Kailyn gave birth to sons Lux and Creed with Chris Lopez. However, after a series of breakups, they ultimately decided to end their relationship permanently.

2020 saw me expressing to TopMob News my current state of non-communication, yet I remain optimistic about the future. I fervently wish for things to improve gradually, but I don’t foresee any grand plans. I refrain from voicing negativity. Instead, I hold onto hope for our children, praying that whatever resolution lies ahead will be in their best interests.

Kailyn is contentedly expressing that her current partner, Elijah Scott, provides a solid base for her. She explained to People magazine that Elijah stands out from her past partners and the fathers of her children, as he embodies both a rugged worker (he works with concrete) and a devoted family man. “He’s deeply connected with his own family, as well as ours,” she said, expressing gratitude for his support and noting that their relationship seems like a strong fit.

A strong enough one that she finally said yes to one of his many proposals, in fact.

In an interview with TopMob News last September 2024, I, a hopelessly smitten fanatic, confirmed the rumors about my long-time neighbor turned beloved partner. He had asked me to spend the rest of our lives together multiple times, and each time, I didn’t say ‘no.’ Instead, I found myself saying, “Yes, but not just yet.

And though she acknowledged that the construction worker “definitely changed my stance on marriage,” she’s not exactly rushing out to buy a white dress. Joked Kailyn, “How soon we get married depends on the day that you ask me now.”

Despite facing numerous highs and lows since the birth of their daughter Kloie in 2017, Indiana residents Jade Cline and Sean Austin hinted to followers in January 2022 that things were looking up for them.

She shared with TopMob News that significant events took place in our lives, along with considerable advancements in Sean’s life and prospects. I’m extremely proud of him and where we stand now. Eight months later, the two of us revealed our engagement, tying the knot in October 2023.

In an interview with TopMob News in 2024, Jade admitted that her relationship isn’t always flawless. However, she emphasized that their shared affection keeps them going, and they manage to navigate through the challenges together.

In the year 2021, longtime residents of California, Ashley Jones and Bar Smith, secretly tied the knot. This was four years following the arrival of their daughter, Holly, into their lives.

But after calling off their romance several times, Ashley officially filed for divorce in 2024.

A while after the birth of Nova in 2011, Briana DeJesus and Devoin Austin II, both former stars of “16 and Pregnant”, entertained the idea of rekindling their relationship.

Currently, Briana shared with TopMob News in 2024, expressing her preference for a mature man, stating, “I’m looking for a real man, not the young men I’ve become accustomed to dating in the past.

Following her appearance on the one-season show Teen Mom 3, Briana became a part of the cast for season 8 of Teen Mom 2. In July 2017, she welcomed her second daughter, Stella, with former boyfriend Luis Miguel.

Ever since then, Luis has been only intermittently involved. In an episode of Teen Mom 2 from December 2019, Briana shared with Dr. Drew her thoughts: “I believe he desires a family with me,” she said, “and as I’m not providing that for him, he seems to prefer keeping his distance entirely.
