As a long-time observer of the Bravo universe, I must admit that some Housewives have left a more lasting impression than others. While each woman brings her unique perspective and experiences to the table, some simply fail to deliver the drama we’ve come to expect from the series.
Showing up to a party uninvited should be a literal crime if you ask Karen Huger.
In fact, the star of The Real Housewives of Potomac humorously warns she might sue her co-star Jacqueline Blake, as shown in a sneak peek from TopMob News for the Bravo series’ episode airing on Dec 22.
The scene begins with Karen challenging Jacqueline for intruding on her romantic gathering prior to their vacation together as a group in Panama, before they all departed.
As a devoted protector, let me make this clear: The safety and wellbeing of my loved ones is of utmost importance to me. Consequently, I’ve decided to take legal action against you.
The revelation prompts snickers from several of the other ladies, while Jacqueline insists, “I walked up there with pink balloons that are in the shape of a heart.”
However, Karen is still not over her frenemy’s shenanigans.
Karen responds, “It seems your plans backfired significantly, and I must add that letting off balloons up there is prohibited. The reason being, it contributes to climate change, which we’re trying to avoid.
After Karen made her environmental shift, everyone present broke into hearty laughter, with Mia Thornton’s comment, “You managed to incorporate celebrating life with your parents in this,” eliciting a particularly loud response.
In the privacy of a confession booth, Karen, who could be sent to jail due to a DUI arrest in March 2024, exclaims assertively, “Take her away! Ting-ting, lady,” while Ashley Darby, visibly perplexed, reflects in her own confessional, “Is it this particular moment you’re focusing on, of all things? By all means, Mr. Knight-errant, carry on with your actions.
As an over-the-moon fan, I can’t help but share my amusement at Wendy Osefo’s hilarious response. “I had no idea Karen was with the Environmental Protection Agency,” she jokes, and then Gizelle Bryant chimes in, “The balloons and global warming, it’s a bit of a stretch, Karen. Let’s focus on your court case instead. Take care!
At dinner later on, Karen maintains a serious tone towards Jacqueline, saying, “Perhaps you could’ve messaged it instead. It seemed like you were there to make an impression, and indeed, you managed to do so.
However, when specifically questioned about the nature of the accusations, Karen offers a humorous yet unspecific reply, saying, “They are investigating the allegations.
Legal chatter aside, Jacqueline ultimately makes good with Karen.
Karen, let me clarify something – I’m sorry for entering your property without permission, but I don’t apologize for the message I brought. It was a constructive one, and whether you choose to accept it is entirely up to you.
Catch the drama unfold as “The Real Housewives of Potomac” is broadcast every Sunday at 8 p.m., only on Bravo. Plus, don’t miss out on TopMob’s authoritative ranking of each Housewife in our upcoming article.
Bravo’s unsuccessful endeavor to showcase our country’s capital introduced four women who are almost forgettable, and you might even struggle to recall them after meeting them—their names being Mary Amons, Lynda Erkiletian, Cat Ommanney and Stacie Scott Turner. One of these women was so desperate for recognition that she intruded at a White House party. We’ll delve deeper into her story later on.
Who?
Vaguely familiar, but…
Once upon a time, DeShawn starred on the same TV show as NeNe Leakes. Surprising, we know.
This one-season Housewife brought nothing to the Orange County table.
As a devoted fan, I must share that Utah’s second season Housewife, Jennie, ended her tenure with an unfortunate incident. In the beginning of 2022, she was let go following the resurgence of old Facebook posts containing offensive and racially insensitive content. Afterward, she expressed her apologies, but the harm had already been inflicted.
Her defining trait was “cougar.”
During season 16, the doctor from Orange County was more of a calm presence rather than a dramatic one. Her marital issues with her husband, who is often seen without a shirt (either Ryne or Ryan), were not particularly thrilling. Yet, an incident that we won’t easily forget is Dr. Jen’s overindulgence in wine at the Dubrows’ extremely awkward yet entertaining dinner party.
The nurse anesthetist’s flop first season can be summed up in one cringe-worthy word we hope we never hear again: Esophagus-gate.
Katie frequently discussed her charitable endeavors, yet her on-screen presence was minimal. She could be described as a one-time appearance character, offering little in terms of meaningful contributions to the show’s cast dynamic. Leaving a group trip early would not be well received among the “Housewives,” as it goes against the established norms of the series.
During the two seasons when she was a main cast member, Charrisse’s marital issues became quite prominent, making them among the most notable aspects of her time on the show, along with her champagne room.
A one-and-done Housewife, Shamari was at least fun?
In season 12, Peggy, despite adding some color to the usually homogeneous O.C., turned out to be a source of aggravation. Her selection of disputes was peculiar and frequently centered around misunderstandings about words, while her choice to seclude herself in her room for an entire day during the Iceland trip suggested that she might not be well-suited for the lifestyle on the Real Housewives.
Instead of developing a connection with Nigerian co-star Wendy Osefo during season eight, Nneka’s initial storyline revolved solely around an alleged accusation that her mother was a witch (incredibly, this is true). It would have been captivating to see them bond over their shared cultural background instead of engaging in conflicts without resolution.
In the 16th season, Noella whirled around like a whirlwind full of frenetic enthusiasm. Although her personal issues (her husband James departing the country and seeking a divorce just before filming began) were somewhat intriguing, it was her ongoing turmoil with queen bee Heather Dubrow that kept her from sinking to the very bottom. With additional time and another season, we might grow fonder of Mrs. Bergener.
As a devoted admirer looking back, I can’t help but marvel at the astonishingly rapid descent of grace that this Housewife experienced. From maintaining peace in her inaugural season to voicing relentless criticisms over a tossed cake and allegations of unsubstantiated anti-Semitism during her final (and short-lived) season, I’ve never witnessed such a swift tumble from the heights of Housewives stardom.
Everything that Amber and her spouse, Jim, appeared to engage in gave off an air of desparation. Moreover, it seemed that Jim was embroiled in more of the turbulence compared to Amber. It’s far from appealing.
From what we recall, Karen was a dental professional, and it appeared that none of her fellow cast members held her in high regard. On to the next topic!
This was a real person with a show on Bravo. We promise.
Among the more recent short-term cast members on “RHONY”, Jules didn’t stay long enough to be listed among the top. Yet, she certainly provided a generous amount of drama during her time.
So unnecessary they couldn’t even get individual taglines.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I find myself drawn to individuals like Nina, who embodies the essence of a contemporary Arab woman, seamlessly merging modern living with age-old cultural customs. Much like Sara Al Madani, she skillfully navigates the drama of season one, often finding herself in the limelight less frequently compared to her more vocal co-stars.
Taleen proved an excellent fit for the second season of RHODubai, and we eagerly anticipate learning more about her.
In seasons 11 and 12, the long-time contestant on America’s Next Top Model was seen with a peach, but didn’t leave a significant mark in the realm of Real Housewives of Atlanta, apart from being pregnant for what seemed like her entire term. However, she did manage to earn some points for her memorable read of Marlo Hampton during their time in Tokyo.
As with most cases, we often require observing multiple seasons to rank a new Housewife higher in our list. However, Katie made a strong debut during the 18th season of RHOC, squaring off against long-time Housewife Heather Dubrow right from the start. It takes a bold woman to challenge someone as high-profile as ‘Ms. Fancypants’.
Sara’s optimistic, insightful perspective on life was generally enjoyable, yet lacked significant drama (except for the instance when she gave Caroline Brooks some unsolicited parenting advice that wasn’t well-received). Nevertheless, this tech entrepreneur broke down barriers and challenged perceptions of what it signifies to be a contemporary Muslim woman in the Middle East, and we commend her for this.
As a devoted fan, I must admit that the newcomers of RHONJ’s season 13 undeniably embody the quintessential Garden State Housewife persona. They swiftly immersed themselves in a seemingly trivial, season-long feud that even Andy Cohen labeled as fruitless during the reunion. However, I eagerly hope to witness their return for season 14, hoping they can climb higher on the rankings with another captivating performance following their enthralling debut.
In the first season, Larsa didn’t leave a strong impact before departing the show. When RHOM was rebooted for season four in 2021, her narrative centered around her past friendship with Kim Kardashian and her involvement in selling provocative foot photos on OnlyFans… (Note: This is a paraphrase, not a direct quote)
After appearing as a Bravolebrity for one season, she attempted to compete in season 12 of ‘Next Food Network Star’ in 2016. Unfortunately, she was not successful in that competition as well.
Sadly, she seemed to serve as an easy target for Brandi Glanville. Additionally, her catchphrase promoting the unpleasant idea that one can never be too slim was distasteful.
