LeBron James Reacts to Daughter Zhuri’s Sweet Tribute to Him

As I delve into the fascinating lives of these extraordinary offspring, I am struck by their remarkable resilience and determination to follow in their famous parents’ footsteps. Each one has navigated their unique paths with grace and tenacity, showcasing their individual talents while honoring their familial legacies.

LeBron James‘ family is continuing his sports legacy.

As the NBA legend rejoiced over his court comeback following a foot injury and setting a new record for most minutes played in the league, he had an additional reason to cheer at home: his daughter, Zhuri James, chose his number for her volleyball uniform.

I can’t help but cheer you on, my little star! Posting this image of you in your No. 6 jersey on Instagram, I exclaim: “Here we go, Baby Z, @allthingszhuri!! Keep shining bright!

The 39-year-old added, “Best of luck this season and GO CRAZY!! #JamesGang”

10-year-old Zhuri is the youngest member of the James family, which includes parents LeBron and Savannah James, along with older brothers Bronny James Jr., 20, and Bryce James, 17. Despite being the youngest, it’s clear that she’s the one calling the shots, as acknowledged by her father, LeBron.

He playfully remarked, “She’s the boss,” following a March 2nd match, as reported by the NBA. “In our home, whatever Z suggests is definitely taken seriously.

And the Los Angeles Lakers player relishes being “a girl dad,” adding that “she’s the best.”

He was particularly touched that Zhuri got to be there in March when he broke yet another record that night and hit the 40,000-points scored mark in his career.

He excitedly declared it as something extraordinary. Up above in the crowd, he spotted his wife, along with his daughter and mother. As the 40,000th point was reached, he couldn’t help but glance up at them. His daughter was enthusiastically clapping and waving her arms high, a sight that filled him with pride. He returned the gesture by blowing her a kiss, which she reciprocated.

In a more natural and easy-to-understand manner, this could be rephrased as: His affection for his daughter is like that of a protective father, which he made clear in November when he shared a picture of them on Instagram with the caption, “MY PRINCESS! I promise to shield you with all that I am and more.

As Zhuri immerses herself in the realm of volleyball, her brothers have taken a liking to basketball, just like their dad. Currently, Bryce is part of his school’s basketball team, while Bronny was previously signed by the Lakers this year. (He also represents the South Bay Lakers in the NBA G League.)

Born as LeBron James Jr. on October 6, 2004, Bronny James showcased his basketball skills at Chatsworth Sierra Canyon high school in the San Fernando Valley. After completing his education there, he moved on to attend the University of Southern California.

Although the NBA schedule frequently prevents LeBron from attending all of his son’s games, he has shown a strong determination to watch Bronny perform. In fact, he even rented a private plane on a day off just to catch Sierra Canyon play against his former school, St. Vincent-St. Mary in Akron, Ohio.

LeBron shared with reporters that he will be going to watch his son play, not only that but against his former college, he stated it feels incredibly special, like coming full circle, almost unimaginable.

2024 saw me, a die-hard fan, witnessing an unprecedented milestone: My beloved hero, Bronny, got drafted to the legendary Los Angeles Lakers! This made us, LeBron and his son, the first father-son duo gracing the NBA court simultaneously. A moment I’ll cherish forever!

Additionally, joining the illustrious Sierra Canyon basketball team is none other than Zaire Wade, the elder son of the retired Miami Heat teammate and former colleague of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade.

Zaire, who joined the team in December 2019 after transferring from Florida, expressed to Yahoo! Sports that they need to accept it due to the extraordinary focus being placed on their team. “There are cameras following us wherever we go,” he said. “I’ve always had a lot of attention, but this is off the charts. It’s another league.

Nevertheless, Zaire expressed his dissatisfaction over insufficient game time, and in April 2020, he shared via Instagram that he intended to transfer to Brewster Academy, located in Wolfeboro, Florida.

In the 2021 NBA G League draft, Zaire was chosen as the 10th pick and joined the Salt Lake City Stars. After that, he played for Cape Town Tigers during the Basketball Africa League season, and then signed with a team in the ASEAN Basketball League in April 2024.

The retired football legend has a daughter, Cha’iel Johnson, who could potentially outshine him now. Notably, she was a standout track and field athlete, competing in the 2017 AAU Junior Olympics at just 12 years old. She even managed to win the girls’ 800-meter run in that competition.

As a lifestyle guru looking back on my days, I attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School in sunny Florida, then proudly joined the athletic team at the University of Kentucky.

The third-born child of an NBA Hall of Famer, standing tall at 6 feet 10 inches, once played basketball for the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), but had to stop due to a heart issue that necessitated surgery.

Following a lack of participation during the 2018-19 season with the California school, he moved on to Louisiana State University, which boasts a 900-pound bronze statue of Shaquille O’Neal outside the LSU Basketball Training Facility, honoring one of its esteemed alumni.

In this picture, Shaq’s daughter, who stands 6 feet 2 inches tall (just like her brother Shareef O’Neal), revealed in 2020 that she would be attending LSU, following her sibling to play college basketball at the same university.

At that time, she expressed that the toughest choice for someone my age is transitioning from high school to college. Even though I’m unsure about what lies ahead, I’m eager to take on the challenge. Truth be told, I never thought I’d say this, but I’m thrilled to announce that I have chosen to become a student-athlete at LSU, joining my brother Shareef O’Neal. I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity to spend the next four years as a Tiger.

During her academic years at Sierra Canyon, the oldest child of two-time NBA All-Star Zack Randolph played basketball with fellow NBA star offspring Izela Arenas, who is Gilbert Arenas’ daughter.

Randolph shared with the Los Angeles Times in December 2020 that he attended Michigan State under coach Tom Izzo. He described Coach Izzo as tough and stern, adding that boys could handle a certain level of roughness from him. In contrast, he found the girls to be more delicate, expressing affection like a father figure towards them, acknowledging their efforts with a soft spot in his heart.

Mackenly mentioned that she had defeated her father on three separate occasions during one-on-one matches, adding humorously, “He isn’t good at defending himself.

In 2019, a young man standing at six feet and three inches, who is the son of an NFL Hall of Famer, made a commitment to Florida Atlantic University as a prospective walk-on. Terique had spent most of his life playing basketball but switched to football during his teenage years. He began his post-high school football career at Contra Costa Community College before transferring.

The Sierra Canyon graduate started all four years and won two state titles. He played college ball for Vanderbilt, before signing a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2022.

Following a short period with the minor league team, the South Bay Lakers (NBA affiliate), Scott Jr. secured a two-way deal with the Memphis Grizzlies in the year 2024.

The ex-Chicago Bulls star, who has won the NBA championship five times, is many things, but being a father is one of them.

His son, often referred to as either Dennis Rodman Jr. or DJ, excelled in both basketball and football during his time at Corona del Mar High School in Newport Beach, California. Upon graduation, he continued his athletic career as a forward at Washington State University, later transferring to the University of Southern California in 2023.

In a conversation with the Orange County Register following a 2017 match, Ryan Schachter, his high school coach, noted that he was one of the less recognized or lesser-known soccer players in Southern California at the time.

While DJ, Dennis’ son, pursued a career in basketball like his father, his daughter Trinity Rodman chose a different path and delved into the realm of soccer. The COVID-19 pandemic cut short her freshman year with Washington State Cougars, but this setback didn’t stop her. Instead, she turned pro in 2021 by joining Washington Spirit, and in 2022, she became part of the United States women’s national soccer team.

It’s quite appropriate that the greatest golfer of all time (GOAT) has a son with impressive golfing abilities. Charlie Woods, aged 11, showcased his talents on the course for the first time on television during a golf tournament, specifically at the 2020 PNC Championship, alongside his dad.

When asked if he had been practicing his golf swing before their upcoming father-son outing, the 15-time major champion replied, “I haven’t spent any effort. Frankly, my game isn’t a priority right now. I’m mainly focusing on ensuring that Charlie has an unforgettable experience and enjoys every moment of this occasion.
