The new costume design is sleek and modern, yet still maintains the iconic look that we all know and love.
In 2025, DC’s Absolute Universe will undergo a significant expansion, with one of the most eagerly awaited debuts being Absolute Flash. The talented duo of Jeff Lemire and Nick Robles are at the forefront, presenting fans with a fresh take on the iconic speedster character. Recently, Robles offered fans a close-up peek at the new Flash costume. Any costume alteration is a significant event, and this updated Flash look is one of the more stylish revisions in recent memory. In simpler terms, Robles posted a sneak peek of the upcoming Flash costume design featuring a striking black, white, and red color palette. The primary suit is black with contrasting white details, while most of the red is incorporated into the jacket. Additionally, there are splashes of red on the mask and shoes. Interestingly, the only gold element in this costume can be found in the visor-like part of the mask.
That goes for the logo as well, which is now pronounced in white on the chest area of the jacket and is also seen on the sides of the mask. The footwear has also been changed up in a big way, with more modern running shoes taking the place of the typical boots.
We’re not very familiar with Absolute Flash or its potential impact on Wally’s personal history and the lore surrounding the Speed Force. Given the significant shifts in the backstories and abilities we’ve seen for characters like Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman, it seems probable that there will be considerable alterations to Wally’s origin as The Flash, not to mention his power dynamics.
