Borderlands 4 Features Cross-Play Support, it’s Confirmed

As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt and countless hours spent roaming the wastelands of Pandora, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the upcoming release of Borderlands 4. The announcement that it will feature cross-platform multiplayer support at launch is music to my ears, as it means I can once again team up with friends on different platforms without any hassle.

Initially, Borderlands 3 didn’t offer cross-play at its launch, but it added this feature later on. In contrast, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands had cross-play support from the beginning. It’s been confirmed that cross-play will be available in Borderlands 4 as well.

In an exclusive chat about the upcoming Borderlands 4 with Famitsu, our game boss Randy Pitchford dropped some exciting news! He confirmed that we’ll have cross-platform multiplayer action right from the start. That means us gamers on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC can team up and play together seamlessly, breaking down barriers between platforms for a more unified Borderlands experience. Can’t wait to blast off with friends across different systems!

The game developer, Gearbox, has additionally announced that the upcoming looter shooter will allow two players to play together on a single screen (split-screen mode). Furthermore, if you found the excessive bathroom humor in Borderlands 3 off-putting, you can anticipate a reduction in that aspect for the next installment.

In the year 2025, you can expect to find Borderlands 4 available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Recently at The Game Awards, a fresh trailer for this RPG shooter was unveiled. You can watch it by clicking here.
