As a long-time follower of this heartwarming series, I must say that the upcoming Christmas special is bringing a wave of nostalgia and anticipation. The prospect of romance blossoming between Nancy and Roger has me reminiscing about Trixie’s love life and the various ups and downs our beloved characters have faced over the years.
The upcoming Call the Midwife Christmas episode brings much anticipation as Nancy’s love life seems set for a captivating turn of events.
On their social media platforms, a fresh video clip from the show was posted, offering a surprise look at the instant when the midwife encounters Roger (portrayed by Conor O’Donnell), filling in for Miss Higgins at the reception desk – an unexpected scenario that Megan Cusack, the actress playing the character, had not imagined before.
According to O’Donnell, Roger appears to develop affection very quickly, as if it were love at first glance. He seems to be worried about the possibility of losing Nancy.
Cusack also said that it “takes a little bit of to-ing and fro-ing for anything to happen”.
“But I think you can tell that she does fancy him,” she added.
And it’s not just Nancy and Roger who are drawn to one another.
There’s also a “spark” between Cyril and Rosalind, teased Zephryn Taitte.
“It’s quite interesting to watch that journey,” he said.
You can enjoy the clip below.
