Dragon Ball Introduces New Majin Buu Successor (But Are They Stronger Than Goku?)

As a long-time Dragon Ball enthusiast who has followed the series since its inception, I must say that the latest addition to the Majin Buu lineage, Majin Duu, is truly a formidable opponent. With a power level that seems to be escalating with each new episode of Dragon Ball Daima, this new Majin is shaping up to potentially outmatch even the mighty Goku.

In the latest episode of “Dragon Ball Daima”, another successor to Majin Buu has been introduced, and it appears that Majin Duu could pose a significant threat for Goku and his team. The anime series has kept fans on their toes with each new episode bringing fresh revelations about the Majin Buu saga that are bound to alter our perception of this storyline forever. Not only did this recent installment shed light on Majin Buu’s origin being different than initially believed, but it also hinted at the possibility of creating more Majins thanks to a secretive Majin sorcerer who has been in hiding until now.

In the Dragon Ball Daima series, Dr. Arinsu’s ambition escalated when she unveiled her plan to construct a new Majin Buu-like monster using remaining fragments of the original Buu. This attempt led to the creation of Majin Kuu, a relatively feeble successor. However, the scientists were disappointed as this new Majin wasn’t as powerful as they anticipated. As a result, they have now developed another Majin, called Majin Duu. It remains uncertain whether Majin Duu will be stronger than Kuu and potentially outmatch Goku, but current indications suggest it might be the case.

What Is Majin Duu?

In Episode 11 of Dragon Ball Daima, Dr. Arinsu and Marba rethink their strategies, opting to utilize the remaining fragments of Buu left over from the creation of Majin Kuu. Their objective this time is to develop a new, controllable monster. A notable change in their approach involves burying the Saibamen seed deeper than before, which results in an entirely different type of Majin compared to Kuu, both in terms of personality and appearance. However, it doesn’t stop there – the modifications don’t end with just the Majin.

As Duu metamorphoses, a unique atmosphere envelops it. Arisu appears more frightened by Duu than he was by Kuu during its emergence. Despite giving the impression of paying attention to Arisu, Duu also seems uninterested. Similarly to Kuu, Duu possesses an original fighting style. Fukushi Ochiai brings Duu to life in the Japanese dub of the latest anime series. Duu then faces its toughest challenge against the First Tamagami, but unlike its elder sibling Kuu, it performs significantly better against the Dragon Ball protector.

Will Majin Duu Be Stronger Than Goku?

In the battle between Duu and the Tamagami from the First Demon World, Dragon Ball Daima observed that this new Majin appears to be more effective than Kuu was against the warrior. Not only does it appear powerful enough to counterattack against the Dragon Ball fighter (even Kuu’s energy blasts couldn’t manage this), but its unique abilities and tactics make it challenging for the Tamagami to handle. Just as we saw with Buu in the Majin Buu saga, an unconventional fighting style can be quite effective against certain opponents.

In the current arc of Dragon Ball Daima, it’s still uncertain if Majin Duu surpasses Goku in strength, but the Tamagami can provide a useful measure of its current power. Since Goku appears weaker overall in this new series, even seemingly formidable opponents will prove more challenging over time. If Duu is indeed as tough as it seems and there comes a point when two Majins unite their might and intellect into one entity, then Goku may find himself in serious trouble. As Dragon Ball Daima unfolds, this potential union of power and intelligence is definitely worth keeping an eye on.
