Brandon Skelnar Speaks Out on Blake Lively’s Justin Baldoni Complaint

As a compassionate observer, I find myself deeply moved by the experiences of these talented individuals who have faced public scrutiny and backlash. It is disheartening to see how social media can often amplify falsehoods and misinformation, causing irreparable damage to innocent lives.

Brandon Skelnar is showing his support for his castmate.

In a document submitted to the California Civil Rights Department and later acquired by TopMob News, Blake Lively alleged that her costar and director on “It Ends With Us,” Justin Baldoni, engaged in sexual harassment and orchestrated a defamatory campaign against her, as a form of retaliation for speaking out about his inappropriate conduct during the film’s production.

Currently, Brandon, famously known for portraying Atlas Corrigan in the movie adaption of Colleen Hoover’s work, alongside Blake as Lily Bloom and Justin as Ryle Kincaid, is addressing the allegations against him.

On December 23rd, the actor from the series 1923 posted a link to a New York Times article on his Instagram Story. The article contained the entirety of Blake’s legal complaint, and he accompanied it with a message urging people to read it, saying “Please, for heaven’s sake, take a moment to read this.

And to finish off his supportive note, Brandon tagged Blake’s social media handle and added a heart emoji next to it.

Apart from Brandon, other members of the “It Ends With Us” team have joined in expressing their views on Blake’s claim. This claim alleges that Justin sexually harassed her during filming and further asserts that when she voiced her concerns about him to the production team, he took steps to harm her reputation by collaborating with a crisis PR team.

On the day the complaint became known to the public, Colleen – who is not only the author of the “It Ends With Us” book series but also an executive producer for the film adaptation – expressed a touching message directly to Blake.

In the post shared on her Instagram Stories on Dec. 21, the author expressed gratitude towards the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants actress, stating: “You’ve been nothing but sincere, compassionate, helpful, and patient since our first encounter.” She added: “I appreciate you for being the unique individual that you are. Always stay true to yourself. Never change, never falter.

Furthermore, Gwyneth Paltrow, director of “A Simple Favor” Paul Feig, and actresses Amber Tamblyn, America Ferrera, and Alexis Bleidel from the movie “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” have all openly expressed their support for her.

Regarding Justin, he refuted all allegations against him in a December 21 statement to The New York Times, issued by his attorney Bryan Freedman. In this statement, Freedman labeled the accusation as “completely false” and another desperate attempt to improve her negative reputation, which was primarily due to her own remarks and actions during the film campaign.

Following Blake Lively’s lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, her It Ends With Us costar and director, alleging sexual harassment during filming and participation in a subsequent smear campaign—allegations he has since disputed through his attorney—Colleen Hoover, the author of the book that inspired the movie, extended a supportive message to Blake Lively.

@BlakeLively, from the moment I met you, you’ve been nothing but truthful, gracious, encouraging, and understanding – qualities that I deeply admire. I want to express my gratitude for being the remarkable individual you are. May you always remain authentic and unwavering in your kindness.” – Colleen (on her Instagram Stories, Dec 21)

Blake’s sister, fellow actress Robyn Lively, also weighed in.

Robyn posted on Instagram on December 23rd, encouraging everyone to fully read an article from The New York Times. This article specifically highlights Blake’s complaint submitted to the California Civil Rights Department, which exposes those responsible for the relentless and malicious smear campaign intended to discredit her sister.

As a die-hard enthusiast, I can’t help but share my thoughts about how the former Teen Witch star subtly echoed the challenges Blake might have faced during the filming of It Ends With Us.

The director of A Simple Favor that Blake starred in also stood up for her, penning on December 22nd: “I’ve had the pleasure of working with Blake on two films now, and I must say she is incredibly professional, imaginative, cooperative, gifted, and kind. It’s truly unfair that she has been subjected to this smear campaign. I think it’s appalling how she was put through this ordeal.

On December 22nd, the comedian expressed her backing for the ex-star of Gossip Girl by posting on her Instagram Story, “I trust Blake.

A short while after Blake’s complaint became known, the founder of Goop posted a picture of Blake Brown’s hair company on her Instagram Story, captioning it as, “Now on my holiday wishlist.

Blake’s closest friends and co-stars from ‘The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants’ published a unified statement on Instagram, dated December 22nd, expressing their support for her as she confronts the alleged smear campaign aimed at damaging her reputation.

Bart Johnson voiced a heartfelt justification for his sister-in-law within the comments area of an Instagram post by the New York Times, which discussed the submission and their internal examination of the backstage chaos.

The former ‘High School Musical’ cast member, who is married to Blake’s sister Robyn, stated that complaints against him were lodged while filming. This was before the public conflict became known. The reason the cast stopped following him is clear. I recommend reading this article before spreading misinformation. His PR team was excellent, although their tactics were distasteful but effective. To understand better, read the article, their text message exchanges, and his PR strategy to discredit her by any means possible. Everyone has flaws, but the public was manipulated in this case.

In the days following the public disclosure of Amber Heard’s court filing, she contemplated her own ordeal of enduring intense hostility online during Johnny Depp’s defamation case against her.

The actor known for playing Aquaman told NBC News on December 23rd that social media mirrors the old saying ‘Falsehood spreads faster than truth,’ a phenomenon he’s witnessed personally. He found it both shocking and harmful.
