EastEnders airs sick new manipulation from Nish Panesar in early BBC iPlayer release

As a long-time fan of EastEnders, I must say that Monday’s episode was a rollercoaster of emotions. Having followed Nish Panesar’s storyline since its inception, I can empathize with his twisted obsession and manipulation of those around him. His actions have caused immense pain to Suki, Eve, and the entire Panesar-Gulati family.

However, watching the family come together in the end, supporting one another through this trying time, was heartwarming. It’s a testament to their resilience and love for each other, especially young Nugget who found the courage to do what was right despite the pressure from his manipulative grandfather.

It’s clear that Nish is a master manipulator, but I have no doubt that he will meet his end on his own terms. I am curious to see how this storyline unfolds and what twists and turns await us in the upcoming episodes. And as for Nugget, I hope he learns from this experience and grows stronger in the process.

On a lighter note, I couldn’t help but chuckle at the irony of Nish’s plan being foiled by none other than Yolande Trueman, who is known for her own share of drama on the Square. It seems that even in Walford, no one can escape the long reach of the infamous Yolande!

Caution: Discusses plot points from the EastEnders episode scheduled for release on BBC iPlayer and BBC One on Monday, 30th December.

EastEnders has aired a sick new low for Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) in Monday’s episode.

In an unexpected turn of events, the antagonist in the BBC One soap opera managed to break free from custody earlier this month. This was following his discovery that Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), his former wife who suffered abuse at his hands, would be marrying her true love, Eve Unwin (Heather Peace), on New Year’s Day in 2025 (1st January 2025).

In my perspective as a movie reviewer, the character Nish, battling a terminal illness and carrying the guilt of confessing to the murder of Keanu Taylor (played skillfully by Danny Walters), unwaveringly insisted that Suki should refrain from remarrying. His conviction stems from his belief that he is her one and only soulmate.

Currently, Nish is covertly residing in Walford, hidden away in a run-down basement apartment. However, it’s only young Davinder “Nugget” Gulati (played by Juhaim Rasul Choudhury), who knows about this situation and discreetly provides him with food and care.

On Monday’s installment, it was noticeable that Nish persisted in controlling Nugget, expressing his fear of dying isolated and advising him to shift focus from his present whereabouts since the authorities had warned the Panesar-Gulatyi clan about their suspicion that Nish might be in Walford.

As a devoted cinephile, I found myself in a tight spot when I thought I might be nabbed for helping out Nish, yet the anxiety subsided as I discarded some of his personal items at the park and tossed a few garments into the river. Eventually, I made the call to the law enforcement, hoping to set things right.

At home, Nugget felt a sense of relief upon the arrival of the police, who shared that an anonymous tipster claimed to have witnessed Nish entering a river prior to the discovery of his possessions. The authorities now suspect that Nish had tragically ended his own life. As Nish’s family reacts with shock (and jubilation from Priya), Suki remains skeptical, demanding proof and convinced that this is part of Nish’s calculated plan to ruin the wedding, as she calls it off.

In the town square, a distraught Suki found herself engaging in a chat with Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter). Yolande managed to persuade Suki to break free from the influence of Nish, regardless of his location or condition. Yolande suggested that Suki should consider marriage as a means to find joy and happiness.

Afterward, Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) popped in on his boy, Nugget, whereas Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) fretted over his mother’s well-being, and Eve expressed contentment in waiting for Suki to decide when she was prepared to wed.

At that point, Suki came back home and announced her decision to proceed with the wedding, which had Ravi and Vinny’s approval, and everyone concurred, wishing only for Suki’s happiness. The entire family rejoiced together, except for Nugget who hesitated on the stairs before slipping away from the house, filled with concern.

Later on, Ravi stood vaping outside, and then Denise Fox (Diane Parish), his partner, approached him. In the midst of what seemed like Nish’s death and Ravi’s apparent relief, Denise had been a source of support for him. It was then that Ravi confessed he felt relieved knowing that the family, including Denise, were now safe.

Eventually, within Nish’s secret lair, Nugget worried about the secrets and deceptions to his grandfather. However, Nish gently pressed his grandson’s hand against his chest, revealing that his end was near due to a failing heart, but it seemed that Nish still intended to conclude matters “according to his wishes”.

It’s common knowledge among fans that Nish is likely to surprise everyone at Suki and Eve’s wedding. However, it remains a mystery as to what exactly his intentions are.
