Craig of the Creek Sets Release Date for Its Series Finale

The much-loved modern cartoon series “Craig of the Creek” is approaching its conclusion, as its final episode has been announced for release. This captivating show was initially developed by Matt Burnett and Ben Levin, and it first graced our screens back in 2017 through Cartoon Network. The series struck a chord with animation enthusiasts of all ages due to the abundance of creativity it offered. “Craig of the Creek” introduced viewers to a sprawling creek teeming with characters, and over its five seasons on Cartoon Network, it significantly enlarged this world.

After a declaration a couple of years back stating that the animated series “Craig of the Creek” would conclude with Cartoon Network following Season 5 and the premiere of its movie, “Craig Before the Creek”, we are now approaching the last episodes. The first part of this final season will air in 2024, marking the end of “Craig of the Creek” on January 25th, 2024 at 9:00AM EST, which is seven years since its initial release and eight years after the debut of its pilot episode.

Craig of the Creek: Where to Watch the Final Episodes

In the previous year, Ben Levin, co-creator of “Craig of the Creek”, disclosed that only a handful of episodes remained after The Sleepover Chronicles. Although Levin hinted that these episodes would air sometime in Fall, it was eventually announced that the final episodes would premiere in January 2025 instead. To mark the beginning of the last episodes’ broadcast, the series’ promotional artwork (which you can see in the video above) was unveiled. With just four episodes left, fans should be prepared to catch this exciting grand finale.

As a huge fan, I can’t contain my excitement! Just four more episodes of “Craig of the Creek” are left before it wraps up, and today marked the start of this emotional journey with the premiere of the first of these final installments. The series will come to an end in a few short weeks on Saturday, January 25th at 9:00AM EST on Cartoon Network, with its final episode titled “See You Tomorrow At The Creek”. If you can’t catch the original airings of each episode, don’t worry! Like last year’s first half of Season 5, they will be available for streaming on Max the day after their broadcast. Can’t wait to see how it all ends!

What Happens After Craig of the Creek Ends?

The animated series “Craig of the Creek” is wrapping up this month, making it one of the few Cartoon Network originals left on air as the channel undergoes changes with Warner Bros. Discovery in the 2020s. These changes have influenced Cartoon Network’s original content significantly. The studio responsible for creating these shows, Cartoon Network Studios, was closed and merged into Warner Bros. Animation. Additionally, Cartoon Network’s official website now directs users to the Max streaming service, and the final originals, such as “Craig of the Creek“, have had their episode orders reduced.

The creative team behind ‘Craig of the Creek’ decided to shorten Season 5 into a final season consisting of 10 episodes. This concluding chapter is about to unfold. Once it ends, there won’t be many unique Cartoon Network shows gracing the channel. However, as the transition to streaming services intensifies, this isn’t the only transformation we’ll witness in the coming years. Although it’s not all bad news, it undeniably marks the end of an era, regardless.
