Recently, Wuthering Waves unveiled a significant update brimming with fresh content, such as the region of Rinascita, numerous quests, exploration targets, and more. In this guide, we’ll be discussing the “Silver Moon? Crimson Moon” side quest, which you can accomplish while wandering around the Whisperwind Haven area.

“Silver Moon? Crimson Moon?” Exploration Side Quest Guide

To complete this side mission, your task is to locate and gather five swords scattered throughout the area known as Whisperwind Haven. Once you’ve found all five, you’ll face a specific boss battle. So, let’s head over to where each sword can be found!

Initially, you’ll discover the “Shy Knight” camouflaged in a bush, not far from the “Resonance Beacon” located in the south of the region, beyond the borders of “Egla Town”. Upon interacting with them, you will be given a mission to engage in a battle against a group of plushies in the vicinity.

Just move a little towards the northwest region, slightly beyond where the Cowardly Knight is concealed on your map, to spot the sword lying there. Overcome the plush toys safeguarding it and seize the Sword of Cowardice. You’re now ready for the next challenge!

Afterward, proceed to the road situated beneath the Resonance Beacon, located south of Polyphemos Windmills with Mistveil Bay slightly to its north. There, you’ll notice a row of chests neatly arranged. Attempt to plunder one and a cutscene will unfold, featuring the Knight of Greed launching an assault on you.

To obtain the Sword of Greed, first, vanquish the Knight of Avarice. Once this task is accomplished, feel free to pillage any remaining treasure chests that he was protecting. The battle against him isn’t particularly noteworthy and should prove relatively easy for your current level.

Follow the road heading westward for the third sword location. Eventually, you’ll stumble upon the Knight of Atrocity to the east of Mistveil Bay. You’ll find him engaged in combat with several NPCs on the road. If you move closer, a cutscene will unfold.

After the scene ends, you’ll be straightaway engaged in a battle against the Horrific Knight. Much like before, vanquish this knight to obtain the Sword of Horror. Now, that makes it the third blade you’ve claimed. Only two left to gather!

Next up, make your way to the bridge that exits Egla Town. At this location, you’ll encounter the Knight of Vanity engaged in a confrontation with another knight on the bridge. In this instance, you’ll be facing off against not one, but two adversaries, as both incarnations of the knight will challenge you.

Just as with the others, this battle is straight-forward. Both knights share a common health meter, so you can attack either or both of them until they are defeated. Upon their defeat, you’ll receive the Sword of Vanity. Additionally, you can harness their spirits to unlock both the Daytime Knight and Nighttime Knight.

Ultimately, the elusive “Sword of Ignorance” is discovered in the tranquil “Silver Moon Grove,” an island situated to the north of “Whisperwind Haven.” It’s here where you’ll encounter the last knight, known as the “Knight of Ignorance,” gazing out over the sea at the southern tip of the island.

Straightforwardly confront him and give him a good thrashing, just as you did with the other knights who challenged you earlier. As expected, he will drop the Sword of Ignorance once defeated. After this, there’s one final task you must complete.

It’s quite fortunate that the character named “Knight of Ignorance” finishes last, because having all five swords ready at hand will cause a new quest icon to appear right in the heart of the “Silver Moon Grove“. As you navigate towards the illuminated area on your map, you’ll eventually come across multiple “Sword Stands” highlighted by red light beams.

Place swords into these pedestals, and a cutscene will automatically begin. At the little lake nestled in the heart of the island, a sword will materialize. Prior to engaging with it, adjust your time settings between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM.

When the appropriate moment arrives, the sword hidden within stone will mysteriously transform. Engage with it to trigger a new sequence, during which the Knight of Crimson Moon shall emerge. This is the climactic encounter for the side quest; give it your all and vanquish it using your strongest party.

This battle turns out to be quite manageable, making it highly probable that you’ll overcome it without difficulty. Upon its defeat, a final scene will unfold, followed by some treasure chests materializing close to the lake. Bravo! You’ve just finished this optional side quest!
