There’s no limit to how far Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will go to help out his fellow actors.
In actuality, the actor starring in Moana 2 (the sequel) had a heartfelt conversation with his co-star, revealing the kind and generous gestures he’s shown towards fellow actor Timothée Chalamet. This conversation took place at the Golden Globe Awards ceremony on January 5th, where they jointly presented Zoe Saldaña with the accolade for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture. Additionally presented was Auli’i Cravalho alongside them.
Johnson jokingly shared that he donates all his hair to film sets in need. Interestingly, 30% of Timmy Chalamet’s Bob Dylan wig is genuine, while every inch of Dwayne Johnson‘s “chest chair” is authentic.
Additionally, the actor from the film “A Complete Unknown,” who is nominated for Best Actor in a Drama Motion Picture alongside Adrien Brody, Colman Domingo, Ralph Fiennes, and Sebastian Stan, Dwayne also mentioned. He added, “And yes, I can call him Timmy,” before breaking into song, similar to his character from the movie “Moana.
52-year-old Dwayne Johnson, known for his role in Jumanji, also discussed his hair off-stage. In fact, he talked about playing Maui in the live-action Moana alongside his 23-year-old daughter Simone on the red carpet.
He shared with TopMob News correspondent Zuri Hall, “Perhaps I should let my hair grow longer,” he said. “I believe one reason for the popularity of Moana is its universal acceptance worldwide, reflecting and celebrating our Polynesian culture, which is truly amazing.
However, what makes the movie’s triumph particularly special for Dwayne, who is also father to Jasmine (age 9) and Tiana (age 6), is its influence on his kids.
He went on to say, “What I adore most about Moana is that each of my daughters identifies with Moana. I believe in the significance of encouraging and empowering our young women, which this film does so well. Plus, I get to act as Maui, run around and shout ‘Cheehoo,’ inspiring young girls – it’s fantastic!
