Following its unexpected removal from the Nintendo eShop a month ago, Square Enix’s Triangle Strategy has returned for purchase once more. This change didn’t impact those who already owned the title and could re-download it, but it did restrict new players from acquiring the strategy role-playing game during that period.
Fortunately, it’s now been resolved, though the publisher didn’t specify the reason for the removal from sale. It appears that a similar problem occurred with Octopath Traveler, leading to its delisting. However, it was later discovered that the game had switched publishers to Square Enix upon its return. As expected, Triangle Strategy is now listed as being published by Square Enix rather than Nintendo, who originally distributed the Switch version globally.
The game titled “Triangle Strategy” can now be played not only on your console but also on PC, as well as Meta Quest 2, Pro, and possibly 3. In December 2022, it surpassed the milestone of one million digital sales and shipments worldwide, with Square Enix yet to disclose updated numbers. On a related note, developer Artdink has recently launched the “Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake” for both consoles and PC platforms. You can read our review of it here.
Triangle Strategy is once again available to purchase on Nintendo Switch eShop.
Thank you for your patience.
