Squid Game fans spot error in explosive season 2 finale scene

Since its debut on Netflix, everyone seems to be discussing Squid Game. Now, attentive viewers of the series have spotted an editing mistake in the final episode of season 2.

In the second season, we find ourselves three years following the conclusion of Gi-hun’s games. This time around, he embarks on a quest for vengeance, once again stepping into the dangerous arena in an attempt to dismantle the organization responsible for these lethal contests.

In the last installment titled “Friend or Foe,” a series of violent confrontations erupt as the characters defy the masked individuals and forcefully advance towards the command center.

In one point of the episode around midway, an observer from behind the lens is noticeable at the edge of a shot.

Yet, due to its fleeting nature, it might be effortlessly overlooked by viewers during their initial viewing.

One user of X noticed an error during editing and posted about it online, which was then reshared by someone else. As a result, the post has garnered over 7.2 million views.

It has been announced that a member of the Squid Game crew will be dismissed, as a camera operator was accidentally caught on camera during an episode, causing some viewers’ tears.

We’ve moved a few weeks past the debut of season 2, and Netflix has been stirring anticipation for season 3 by revealing a fresh teaser trailer.

In the shown footage, initially released as a post-credit sequence, three individuals are depicted walking into an arena accompanied by the Red Light, Green Light toy named Young-hee. However, she is not appearing solo.

The doll has her back turned to the players and is looking directly towards another, Chul-su.

Everyone say hi to Chul-su 👋 Squid Game 3 coming 2025.

Following the release of Season 2, it’s likely we’ll announce the release date for Season 3 in a short time. I anticipate that it will premiere somewhere between summer and fall of the following year. (Variety interview with Hwang Dong-hyuk)

Regarding the narrative of Season 3, since Gi-hun has lost everything, including his friend, and all his efforts have failed, we’re left wondering about his current state and future actions. How has Gi-hun changed? What condition is he in now? And what decision will he ultimately make?
