If Denise Richards can survive The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she can survive anything.
After participating in season three of Fox’s demanding reality show, Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, the Wild Things actress has come to understand that this is indeed the case. (Implying: She now realizes how true it was when she initially said that, or she now understands the statement in a new light after her experience on the show)
According to Deise, she had a chance to experience something entirely new and quite daunting, far beyond her usual comfort zone, in an interview with TopMob News. She admitted that it was unlike anything she’s ever attempted before and the thought of doing it terrified her so much that initially, she declined season two. However, she expressed gratitude for being asked to return for season three as it proved to be a significant challenge for her. (Tune in to TopMob News tonight, Jan 7, at 11 p.m., for more insights from our conversation with Denise.)
Indeed, the 53-year-old shared that her spouse Aaron Pyphers, along with their daughters Sami (20), Lola (19), and Eloise (13), were less than thrilled when she disclosed her decision to participate in the show’s demanding military-style training tasks.
Denise shared, “For three full weeks, I spent each day at the gym, and they were quite worried. My girls didn’t approve of my training, fearing I might not return home safely.
Although she managed to return home, her experience on the show was not without incident. As she shared on the January 3rd episode of Jeff Lewis Live radio show, “I also jumped from a bridge, which resulted in me injuring my breast implants.
In simpler terms, the actress who appeared in “Drop Dead Gorgeous” later explained that using a harness during a challenging stunt caused damage to her augmented breasts.
She mentioned that she hasn’t completed them yet. Originally, she was supposed to do so a month back, but due to the ongoing filming, she wasn’t able to and now needs to redo them.
Even though I’d been hurt during my stint in Special Forces, I left with a fresh insight into my own strength – something I didn’t know I had before. I shared this revelation with TopMob and admitted, “I discovered I’m tougher than I believed, but deep down, I can’t help but wish I was even stronger.
And at the end of the day, it was about putting herself out there.
She said, “What I discovered is that when you set your heart on achieving something, no matter how far you get, the effort counts. I believe it’s crucial for my children to witness this as well.
