McFarlane Black Light Batman & Robin Mr. Freeze Figure Drops As An Exclusive

McFarlane Toys has just released a new item that could give you a bit of a chill! In collaboration with Entertainment Earth, they’re offering an exclusive Gold Label black light version of Mr. Freeze. This time, the figure is modeled after Arnold Schwarzenegger’s portrayal of Doctor Victor Fries from the memorable 1997 film “Batman & Robin”. Only a limited edition of 3000 pieces will be produced.

This special edition of the Mr. Freeze action figure from the DC Multiverse is now available for pre-order at Entertainment Earth. Released as part of the Batman & Robin series in 2023, it’s priced at $29.99 and expected to arrive in April 2025. You won’t be charged until it ships. The figure comes with a freeze ray that simulates ice effects, an exclusive stand, a detailed black light base featuring two battery-powered black lights, and a collector’s art card. McFarlane Toys and Entertainment Earth have previously dealt with a black light exclusive Mr. Freeze toy, as seen in December 2023 when they released a vibrant Mr. Freeze figure based on his debut comic book appearance in “The Ice Crimes of Mr. Zero” (1959). That release sold out swiftly, and we anticipate the same for the Arnold version.

It appears that Mr. Freeze’s adventures and black light themes have been a lasting duo. Despite being an ice-themed villain, he remains a favorite among fans, standing tall alongside classic Batman adversaries such as the Joker, Penguin, and Riddler. For me, the icy exploits of Mr. Freeze in “Batman & Robin” provide some of the best scenes in an otherwise poor movie. It’s wonderful to see McFarlane still giving this character attention.
