On January 5, the 30-year-old unveiled his newest album titled “Debí Tirar Más Fotos“. There’s speculation about whether some of the songs were inspired by his former girlfriend, Kendall Jenner. He offered some clarity on the themes and individuals behind the music.

In an interview with TIME on January 5th, Bad Bunny explained, “I’ve composed songs inspired by individuals whom many may not recognize. The song’s interpretation can encompass various aspects, such as the absence of a person who is no longer in your life, or love. However, it can also symbolize other things that are now gone.

In February 2023, rumors of a romantic relationship between the rapper, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, and Kendall started circulating after they were spotted enjoying a dinner together. Over the ensuing months, they frequently appeared as companions at basketball games and outings in New York City. Although the “Where She Goes” artist and fashion model never publicly acknowledged their relationship status, they took their connection to the next level by starring in a high-end Gucci advertisement together in September.

However, by December the pair’s romance fizzled out and they broke up.

30-year-old Kendall and the “Monaco” rapper fueled speculation of a revived relationship in May when they were seen together in Miami, getting close at the 2024 Met Gala after party. Later, in June, following the Vogue World event in Paris, they were spotted dining out while wearing matching gray ensembles.

During this period, Bad Bunny has indeed verified that his album serves as a heartfelt missive dedicated to a place that carries a significant chunk of his heart – his beloved home island of Puerto Rico.

Bad Bunny shared with TIME that this album showcases Puerto Rican music in a unique way, distinct from anything other artists have produced. He explained, “I’ve discovered what my origins are – the sound that truly resonates with me.
