And here is a message from producer Hiroyuki Maruyama regarding the Switch release:

We’re thrilled to share the news that the improved edition of our highly praised robot action shooter, titled “Strania: The Stella Machina EX“, is coming soon to the Nintendo Switch!

This update is due to two factors: firstly, the discontinuation of the Xbox 360 version last summer, and secondly, no home console adaptation for the 2020 arcade edition so far. Given our restricted development resources, we decided to concentrate solely on the Nintendo Switch to deliver an optimal gaming experience. We hope you comprehend and support our choice in this matter.

As a fellow enthusiast, I can’t help but feel thrilled that finally, we get to dive into the captivating world of Strania EX. Previously, its presence in arcades was quite elusive, making it a rare treat for many gamers like myself. Regardless if you’re revisiting familiar territories or embarking on an entirely new journey, I have no doubt that this release will create an unforgettable adventure that we’ll cherish!

With this launch, we’re venturing into the realm of self-publication after a 12-year hiatus! It’s a mix of apprehension and excitement as we begin anew, and we can’t thank you enough for standing by us throughout this journey. We’re eager to start this next chapter with your unwavering support.
