Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds is set to have its second open beta test in February. This test runs from February 6th at 7 PM Pacific Time, through February 9th at 6:59 PM Pacific Time, and then again from February 13th to 16th. The testing will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The content from the initial open beta, which included a Story Trial and a free roam Doshaguma Hunt, will return with Gypceros as an additional target.
As a gamer, I’m excited to share that we’ll have access to the character creation tool, and any characters crafted will transfer seamlessly into the game. Plus, if you played during the last open beta, your character data can be carried over to this one!
Another cool feature is cross-platform play, meaning gamers on different platforms can join forces. And here’s a sweet bonus: all participants will receive an item pack and a decorative weapon or Seikret charm for use in the game!
Regrettably, enhancements to performance, weapon options, hit detection, among other features, won’t be included during the second phase of our open beta testing.
The game “Monster Hunter Wilds” will be released on February 28th. For additional information about the graphics settings for consoles, click here. At launch, it will be compatible with the PS5 Pro, and they are also investigating a possible reduction in the minimum requirements for PC.
