EastEnders and Traitors stars join Boarders cast for season 2

In February, when the second season of BBC Three’s comedy-drama Boarders premieres, it has been confirmed that Alan Cumming from The Traitors US and Natalie Cassidy known for her work on EastEnders will be appearing as guest stars in the show.

In a different phrasing, Cassidy takes on the role of Sharon Hail, a teacher from a competing educational institution. Meanwhile, Cumming portrays Alan, an individual known for setting exceptionally high standards, not just for the party he organizes, but also for the students from St Gilbert’s who attend his event.

In Season 2 of Boarders, there’s a fresh chapter for St Gilbert’s as Acting Headmistress Carol Watlington-Geese takes charge, aiming to expel Jaheim, Leah, Toby, Omar, and Femi from the institution.

Cassidy expressed his excitement about being part of the series, stating, “I was a big fan of Season 1 of Borderland and couldn’t hide my joy when I was invited to feature in Season 2.”

Talent abounds among everyone involved, and I had a blast portraying an extraordinarily quirky teacher. Make sure you don’t miss out!”

“Everyone in the cast and crew is incredibly talented, and I really enjoyed my role as a peculiar teacher. Don’t forget to watch it!

Simultaneously, Cumming commented: “I’ve often advocated for expressing admiration to people, and that’s exactly what I did with Boarders. I shared my enthusiasm with the producers, who also produce The Traitors, and before long, I was on set, having a blast!

Daniel Lawrence Taylor, the show’s creator, expressed his delight about the addition of Alan Cumming and Natalie Cassidy to St Gilbert’s: “It was an absolute pleasure to have them join our cast, and working with them was a joy. I can hardly wait for audiences to witness their antics on campus!

As a film enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that Cassidy and Cumming will be joining the returning cast for our upcoming project. This talented group includes Josh Tedeku, Jodie Campbell, Sekou Diaby, Myles Kamwendo, Aruna Jalloh, Niky Wardley, Assa Kanouté, Tallulah Greive, and Rosie Graham, among others. Can’t wait to see the magic they’ll bring to the screen!

In the upcoming season 2, here are some fresh faces joining the cast: Wunmi Mosaku, known for her role in Loki, will portray Jaheim’s mother; Cara Theobold, famously from Downton Abbey, has been cast as Jude, the new writer in residence at St Gilbert’s; Michael Salami, who starred in Supacell, will play Femi’s uncle; and Kendra Brown is set to appear as Devon’yè, the latest American exchange student.
