Bring them Down – TRAILER

As a passionate movie enthusiast, I’ve been eagerly anticipating updates from MUBI, the globetrotting distributor, streaming service, and production powerhouse. They’ve recently unveiled the captivating trailer for Christopher Andrews’ directorial debut, a film that promises to be as riveting as Demi Moore’s ‘The Substance’, which they graced us with earlier this year.

In a secluded rural life, Michael (Christopher Abbott), the youngest offspring of a hardworking farming family, shares his days with his cranky, ailing father Ray. Haunted by a dark past, Michael has withdrawn from society and found solace in tending to his cherished sheep. However, the longstanding feud with neighboring farmer Gary and his volatile son Jack (Barry Keoghan) reignites old animosities, setting off a series of escalating events that become progressively violent and catastrophic, forever changing both families’ fates.

Titled “Bring Them Down,” this captivating narrative features Christopher Abbott alongside Barry Keoghan, who has won a BAFTA and been nominated for an Academy Award®, as well as Colm Meaney, Nora-Jane Noone, Paul Ready, and Susan Lynch. This gripping drama revolves around two rival farming families in contemporary rural Ireland, where their longstanding feud continues to unfold.

I’m thrilled to share that my admiration has been rewarded, as “Bring Them Down” has been nominated in two categories at this year’s British Independent Film Awards: Best Debut Director (Christopher Andrews) and Breakthrough Producer (Jacob Swan Hyam). It all started with its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this year, and now it’s also been chosen for the BFI London Film Festival 2024. I couldn’t be more excited!

BRING THEM DOWN  WILL BE IN CINEMAS IN THE UK & IRELAND ON 7th FEBRUARY 2025
