From my perspective as a gamer, it’s exciting to know that I’ll get an early taste of the game before its official release, which is referred to as a “preview play”. To ensure a smooth online experience post-launch, there will be extensive checks on the game’s network systems through massive load tests. Unfortunately, it seems this network test is exclusively available for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms, with no indication of a PS4 version being accessible right now. However, rest assured that the complete game will indeed arrive on PS4 eventually. The network test is scheduled for some time next month.
In essence, Nightreign, initially unveiled as an Elden Ring spin-off, centers around cooperative gameplay, compressing the style of Elden Ring into approximately 45 minutes per session. Over a span of three days and nights, you collaborate with others to upgrade your character and battle bosses drawn from both Elden Ring and past Dark Souls titles. The action is constant, as a Battle Royale-style acid rain mechanism shrinks the play area continuously. While it can be played solo or offline, the emphasis is on three-player interaction.
