On January 9, 2025, Square Enix revealed a fresh new trailer for the forthcoming and eagerly awaited PC edition of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, due out on Steam on January 23, 2025. The video offered a sweeping overview of the game’s dramatic scenes and intense gameplay, as well as highlighting technical aspects that will differentiate this upcoming PC release from the PlayStation version of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
These exclusive features coming to the PC version of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth include:
- Improved lighting.
- Enhanced visuals and textures.
- DualSense Wireless Controller Support.
- NVIDIA DLSS Functionality (which will upscale the image quality and improve the framerate).

Initially, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth made its debut on February 29, 2024, exclusively on PlayStation 5. Later in December 2024, during the Game Awards of the same year, Square Enix announced a PC version of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth as part of their strategy to expand the availability of their games across various platforms.
Despite not hitting Square Enix’s sales targets, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth garnered widespread praise from both critics and enthusiasts due to its enhancements on the base of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. It boasts an upgraded battle system, larger and more challenging boss battles, a richer narrative filled with unexpected twists, numerous Easter eggs for dedicated Final Fantasy fans, and a vast, visually stunning world to traverse.
