Drawing inspiration from the actual Windscale disaster in 1957, the narrative unfolds five years later within a stylized quarantine area, which includes vast landscapes of rolling hills, valleys, caves, and an idyllic English village.

As I step into this picturesque landscape, it feels like a tranquil postcard, but there’s something eerie lurking beneath its beauty. The truth about Windscale is hidden deep within military outposts, underground bunkers, and treacherous Pagan ruins. I’ll need to tread carefully, unearthing secrets with my reliable metal detector as I go, because this mystery isn’t going to solve itself!

At the heart of this intriguing enigma lies a collection of peculiar personalities and clandestine groups that populate the sealed-off quarantine area. These isolated souls have been confined for years, fostering behaviors far from ordinary. Engaging with them is crucial as it will impact your adventure significantly. However, remember to tread carefully because not everyone in this place is friendly. You’ll need to master a variety of both ranged and close combat weapons if you hope to make it out alive!
