Fans of anime series One-Punch Man haven’t witnessed the character “Superalloy Blackluster” in action yet, but he has appeared previously throughout the anime adaptation. This hero is one of the highest-ranked crime fighters in the world of One-Punch Man and goes by the name “Darkshine.” A new poster suggests that there might be a change in his character, although the production company hasn’t provided any official statements explaining why this alteration was made. However, it seems plausible to assume that this modification could lead to significant events involving Blackluster in the upcoming third season if JC Staff intends to stay faithful to the original manga.

In a fresh update, JC Staff unveiled an exciting new poster featuring “Superalloy Blackluster” as he gears up to face off against monsters and villains in season three. A closer look at the poster, along with the header image of Darkshine from previous seasons used for this article, reveals that our towering hero appears noticeably different compared to his past appearances. Unfortunately, the studio has yet to announce a specific release date for this much-awaited return, but it seems that Saitama might make his comeback sometime this year following an extended break.

One Punch Is All You Need
In the third installment of One-Punch Man, we can expect the ongoing fight against the Monster Association to persist, with the conclusion of this arc probably stretching into season four. Given the expansive nature of the struggle against the subterranean monsters and Garou, the Hero Killer, it’s safe to say that their confrontation may extend well beyond the upcoming episodes. When Saitama eventually squares off again with the current storyline’s main antagonist, it will be a battle for the ages, surpassing all previous encounters in the anime.
In the future, besides anime, we might also encounter Saitama in a live-action version of “One-Punch Man,” which is still being developed by Sony Pictures for the big screen. This upcoming film will be co-written by Dan Harmon, creator of “Community,” and directed by Justin Lin, known for “Fast And The Furious.” Alongside other successful adaptations like “One Piece” and “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” this live-action movie could make a significant impact if it achieves the same popularity as the anime.
