Twisted is heading to the small screen.
Netflix acquired the rights for Ana Huang’s book series in a large-sum agreement, as reported by TopMob News, which was verified by her representative.
The press release announces that “Twisted” – a four-book series – is a “passionate new adult storyline about four close friends and their intense romantic entanglements.” It delves into the friends’ hidden past struggles, showing how they conquer the hurdles preventing them from finding love.
So far, the series has achieved sales exceeding 12 million copies, and its inaugural novel, “Twisted Love,” held a spot on the New York Times Bestseller List for more than 60 weeks. Additionally, the hashtag #twistedseries has garnered over two billion views on TikTok.
Ana, meanwhile, took to social media to celebrate the news.
2022 marks the beginning of a fresh chapter, and it’s high time I unveil some exhilarating updates: The Twisted series is in the works for a TV adaptation, as shared in my post on January 10th. For quite some time now, I’ve been chomping at the bit to disclose this news, and I truly believe you’ll share my enthusiasm since I can hardly contain my excitement about witnessing the Twisted world unfold on screen!
What is it exactly that keeps readers captivated by Ana’s novels? Perhaps it’s her skill in crafting flawless romance stories, a talent she has honed to perfection at the age of 33.
She explained to TopMob News in October that the focus is on how they help each other reveal their best qualities, aid each other in healing or overcoming emotional scars. Essentially, it’s about emphasizing that aspect, which is crucial. And let’s not forget, I enjoy a bit of playful banter as well!
What exactly is it that has readers unable to put down Ana’s books? Perhaps it’s her knack for crafting unforgettable, heartwarming romances, a skill she has honed to perfection at the age of 33.
She explained to TopMob News in October that the focus lies in how they mutually highlight each other’s strengths, aid each other in healing emotional scars, or overcoming their emotional traumas. Essentially, it’s crucial to capture this dynamic aspect. Plus, there’s nothing like a bit of witty back-and-forth dialogue, she added.
She added, “I believe engaging conversation is crucial for romance. Plus, it’s wonderful when characters grow and learn to embrace love by the story’s end.
However, “Twisted” isn’t the sole cherished series being adapted. There are other books that you might want to explore before they come to life on screen. Continue reading to discover them!
