A game spin-off titled “Elden Ring Nightreign” is now open for sign-ups for its play tests. This online cooperative experience lets players join forces to battle fresh and familiar foes from the Elden Ring universe. Players can pick from 8 distinct character types, each with unique skills and abilities. The playtest periods will take place from February 14th to 16th, with three-hour sessions scheduled daily. Regrettably, these tests are exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S users, meaning PC players or those on older systems must wait for the game’s official launch to join in. Their adventures lead them to Limveld, a map that evolves over time, demanding quick decisions in combat and exploration as the Night’s Tide shrinks the map.
At the end of each night, players encounter formidable bosses. Defeating these bosses prepares them for more complex challenges. Each session concludes on the third night when they confront the chosen Nightlord. Although one can face the night solo, teamwork is crucial to surmount these obstacles. Players must learn to collaborate, leveraging their unique abilities for an extraordinary experience within the ELDEN RING universe. Those who fail are not entirely defeated; they receive relics that enable them to customize and upgrade their characters according to preferred playstyles.
