Last June, Microsoft together with The Coalition announced “Gears of War: E-Day,” but given that they revealed it only through a short cinematic trailer without specifying a release date, some people thought the third-person shooter was still quite far away. Surprisingly, though, it could potentially be closer than anticipated.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve been keeping my fingers crossed about the rumors surrounding Gears of War: E-Day. According to the trusted insider, NateTheHate, in one of his podcast episodes, he hinted at a potential launch in 2025. It’s not the first time we’ve heard such whispers about this shooter potentially dropping later this year. And if NateTheHate is to be believed, it could very well spearhead Microsoft’s Fall/Holiday release schedule.
Presently, Microsoft boasts a list of upcoming titles such as Avowed, The Outer Worlds 2, South of Midnight, DOOM: The Dark Ages, Fable, and possibly others that haven’t been officially scheduled for 2025. If Gears of War: E-Day is among these unannounced games, it would undeniably strengthen Xbox’s lineup for new releases in 2025.
