Microsoft’s first-party games like “Hi-Fi Rush,” “Sea of Thieves,” “Pentiment,” and “Grounded” have proven successful even on rival platforms, leading Microsoft to fully embrace this release strategy. While specific future details are yet to be officially disclosed, some hints about the plan have apparently surfaced through various sources.
According to a recent report by Jez Corden from Windows Central, it appears that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, and Age of Mythology: Retold are planned for the PlayStation 5. Additionally, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and Halo: The Master Chief Collection have been suggested for the PS5 as well, but there’s no confirmation yet if they will also be released on the Switch 2. However, Jez Corden speculates that it’s possible for all three of the aforementioned games to come to the Switch 2 as well.
At present, Microsoft has just one game formally announced for a multi-platform debut in the near future. Specifically, “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” is scheduled to drop on the PlayStation 5 this coming spring season.
