The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remake Features Reworked Blocking, Stamina, Archery, and More – Rumor

It’s been speculated for months that there might be a remake or remaster of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. Many believe that this could be officially announced during Xbox Developer_Direct ’25. Interestingly, some details have apparently leaked ahead of time, thanks to a former Virtuos employee who worked on the game from 2023 to 2024.

Without disclosing their name for privacy reasons, MP1st pointed out a statement on their website that appears to verify the game is “fully remade” using Unreal Engine 5. It’s claimed that improvements have been made to Sneak, Blocking, Archery, Hit Reaction, the user interface (HUD), and Stamina systems as well.

Notable enhancements include drawing inspiration from Souls-like games for the blocking mechanic, introducing clear Sneak indicators, and making it harder to be knocked down when Stamina is fully drained. Additionally, enhanced combat hit reactions, advancements in Archery, and a more visually appealing Heads-Up Display (HUD) are said to be part of the upgrades as well.

It appears that a remake of “The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion” might be announced soon, as a Virtuos Shanghai employee has confirmed they’re working on something related to Unreal Engine 5. If rumors are true, the remake could launch in June following its expected announcement this month. Keep an eye out for more updates!
