In the Marvel Universe, Wolverine is now an official member, but he’s not the same Logan fans are accustomed to. The new Ultimate Universe has undergone significant changes, all thanks to The Maker – a malevolent version of Reed Richards who manipulated the past to hinder heroes from reaching their peak potential. As we’ve seen, characters like Spider-Man and the Ultimates have emerged to challenge the Watcher and his corrupt council. In this new universe, three members of The Maker’s council are determined to maintain control, and they’re doing so by unleashing a chilling hybrid: the Ultimate Wolverine, who combines characteristics of both Wolverine and Winter Soldier.
In a recent announcement, Marvel unveiled the first issue preview of the comic book titled “Ultimate Wolverine” by Chris Condon, Alessandro Cappuccio, Bryan Valenza, and VC’s Cory Petit. The story commences at the boundary between the Eurasian republic and Latveria, where an airplane transports Ultimate Wolverine for his upcoming assignment. As two soldiers converse about his intimidating presence and tales of his origin – rumored to have been crafted from the remains of fallen soldiers – Ultimate Wolverine suddenly rises, flings open the cargo door, and leaps out of the moving aircraft without the aid of a parachute.

In a swift and forceful manner, Wolverine plunges towards the ground, resembling a speeding bullet. The scene shifts to reveal a forest where victims of an air raid are being hauled across the snow. Eventually, Wolverine lands outside a formidable fortress, which is bustling with guards. With a menacing demeanor, he swiftly dispatches these guards without uttering a sound, much like the relentless Terminator.
