He expressed that he found it enjoyable, suggesting his confidence in the new episodes and the creative mind behind them.
Squid Game Star Addresses Season 2 Backlash
As I observed, Byung-hun expressed a thoughtful stance towards various viewpoints. He admitted that any work is bound to invite criticism. On a personal note, he found the experience enjoyable. In his opinion, director Hwang Dong-hyuk demonstrates an impressive intellect. This reaction seems to acknowledge the unique impact of the first season, which was a remarkable hit even for Squid Game’s creator, who initially didn’t plan to create more seasons when the series debuted.
The reason behind it is that the popular series Squid Game will conclude its narrative with a subsequent season of episodes due later this year. When crafting the story for the new season, the creator shared that the initial plan was for one longer story arc, “Initially, I had written the stories for Seasons 2 and 3 as one continuous narrative. My intention was to tell this tale in approximately eight to nine episodes. However, upon completing the story, it extended beyond 10 episodes, which I felt was too lengthy for a single season.
