Ivanka Trump is leaving the world of politics behind.
Prior to Donald Trump’s swearing-in on January 20th, it was disclosed that his eldest daughter would not be resuming her role at the White House for his upcoming second term in office.
Ivanka, who is the daughter of Trump’s former wife Ivana Trump, stated on the January 13 episode of the Skinny Confidential Him & Her Show podcast, “I am aware of the cost, and it’s a price that I am not willing to pass onto my children.
During his first term, Jared Kushner, aged 43 and husband, held senior advisor positions. He shares daughter Arabella Kushner (13 years old), sons Joseph Kushner (10) and Theodore Kushner (8) with him. Unlike Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and Tiffany Trump, whose mother is Marla Maples, Jared actively worked in the administration, while his brothers and sister provided support on the campaign trails but did not formally work for the administration.
During those crucial stages in her children’s lives, Ivanka happened to be present for many of them, but unfortunately had to skip numerous cherished moments instead.
Whenever I was unable to attend something,” she clarified, “I’d think to myself, ‘As soon as I step down from the White House, I’ll make sure this doesn’t happen again.’
Despite her family being the primary influencing factor, Ivanka herself acknowledged that she doesn’t hold a particular affinity for politics in general.
She expressed that there’s an ominous feel about that realm which she doesn’t wish to invite in her own, as it’s extremely gloomy and negative.
Where does Melania Trump, Trump’s wife, envision residing if she becomes First Lady once more? She has mentioned that she intends to “live at the White House” as soon as her husband takes his oath of office.
I can’t help but envision myself, an overjoyed fan, occasionally making trips back to the vibrant heart of New York City alongside my cherished son, Barron Trump. This extraordinary young man is embarking on his freshman year at NYU’s Stern School of Business and I simply can’t wait to share in his journey!
In a recent interview with Fox & Friends, Melania, who owns properties in both New York City’s Trump Tower and Florida’s Mar-a-Lago Club, said, “Whenever I have to be in New York, that is where you’ll find me. Similarly, when I need to be in Palm Beach, I will be there.
Although her main roles are being a mother, a First Lady, and a wife, Melania clarified that when she takes office on January 20th, she will dedicate her service to the country.

Ivana Trump was initially married to the future President Donald Trump. Born in what is now Zlín, Czech Republic (formerly Gottwaldov, Czechoslovakia) in 1949, she gained prominence as a skilled skier. Following her marriage to Austrian ski instructor Alfred Winklmayr in 1971, Ivana had the opportunity to travel extensively beyond Czechoslovakia.
In her book titled “Raising Trump,” Ivana recounts that she met Donald three years after her divorce from a previous relationship in 1973, during a trip to New York for a Canadian fashion show preceding the Montreal Olympics. They married in 1977 and together they had three children: Donald Trump Jr., born in 1977, Ivanka Trump, born in 1981, and Eric Trump, born in 1984.
1992 saw the legal end of their marriage, triggered by Donald’s relationship with Marla Maples, whom he later wed. Interestingly, Ivana went on to marry Riccardo Mazzucchelli for two years and Rossano Rubicondi for a brief period thereafter, yet maintained a cordial rapport with Donald.
In 2017, she shared with ABC News that during their divorce, Donald was ruthless. He approached the divorce as if it were a business transaction, and he couldn’t afford to lose. It took approximately two years for everything to be settled, after which they could reconnect and are now friends.
Tragically, Ivana passed away in 2022 at the age of 73. According to NBC News, the New York City Medical Examiner determined that her cause of death was “blunt impact injuries,” and the manner of her death was ruled an accident. A senior NYC official with direct knowledge stated that the circumstances suggest a fall on the stairs in her New York apartment.
1977 saw the birth of Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of Ivana and Donald. He joined his father’s business, The Trump Organization, in 2001, where he now holds the position of executive vice president. Don Jr. has also been an active participant in his father’s political endeavors, such as addressing rallies and speaking at the Republican National Convention during his presidential campaigns.
Don Jr. has a family of five children with his former model spouse, Vanessa Haydon: Kai (who delivered a speech at the 2024 Republican National Convention), Donald III, Tristan, Spencer, and Chloe. Currently, Don Jr. is engaged to Kimberly Guilfoyle, a former host on Fox News.
Four years following Don Jr.’s arrival, Donald and Ivana welcomed their daughter, Ivanka Trump, into their family.
Prior to his presidency, Ivanka Trump, who graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, worked at The Trump Organization. However, after he was elected in 2016, the founder of her own fashion brand assumed the role of Advisor to the President.
Upon announcing his presidential bid again in 2024, Ivanka declared she would be withdrawing from politics to concentrate on her family with husband, former White House senior advisor Jared Kushner, and their children Arabella, Joseph, and Theodore.
In a 2022 statement obtained by NBC News, she expressed her deep affection for her father. “This time around,” she said, “I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are building as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics.
Eric Trump, born in 1984, is the third offspring of Ivana and Donald. Similar to his brother, he serves as executive vice president at The Trump Organization, a role he assumed in 2007.
He is married to Republican National Committee co-chair Lara Trump, and together they have two children named Luke and Carolina.
Marla Maples is Donald’s second wife, whom he met while still married to Ivana.
In the book “Raising Trump,” it was written that Ivana claimed the actress brought up the affair during a visit to Aspen in 1989, but Marla stated on an episode of the ABC podcast “Journeys of Faith with Paula Faris” in 2018 that she did not consider herself as Donald’s mistress. She added, “My intention was never to bring pain.” Though she regretted it deeply, she wished they could have been together after his divorce papers were signed. However, the timing didn’t work out, and it led to a lot of heartache for many people. Marla and Donald had daughter Tiffany in 1993, and they married later that year. Yet, they announced their separation four years later, and their divorce was finalized in 1999.
Following her parents’ divorce, Tiffany Trump chose to relocate with her mother from New York to California for a more low-key upbringing and the opportunity to establish her own identity. In an interview with People in 2016, she explained, “She wanted me to have a chance at a normal childhood – as normal as possible under the circumstances. I think she did a good job of that.”
Tiffany released her single “Like a Bird” in 2011 and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in sociology, focusing on law and society, in 2016. She went on to attend Georgetown Law School, where she earned her JD in 2020.
In 2022, Tiffany married Michael Boulos. During a speech at the Detroit Economic Club in October 2024, her father announced that they were expecting their first child. “She’s an exceptional young woman,” he said during his remarks. “And she’s going to have a baby. So that’s nice.
Melania Trump, who was born in Mesto, Slovenia in 1970, is set to become the United States’ First Lady as the wife of Donald Trump. Notably, she will be the second First Lady born outside of the U.S., and the only one to become a naturalized American citizen. The couple first crossed paths in New York City in 1996 when they met at a fashion event organized by a mutual friend. In a 2016 interview on ‘On the Record With Greta Van Susteren’, Melania recounted their meeting: “It was a big fashion party that my friend arranged during fashion week, and Donald was invited.” Melania and Donald tied the knot in 2005, and they later had a son, Barron Trump, born in the following year.
As a lifestyle expert, I might rephrase it like this:
Born in 2006, Barron Trump, the sole child of Donald and Melania, has led a life that’s somewhat secluded. The family transitioned from their home in New York to Washington D.C., and later to Florida. Initially, there were speculations about Barron joining the political arena when he was chosen as a Florida delegate for the Republican National Convention in May 2024. However, he decided against it due to prior engagements.
In a statement released by Melania’s office to NBC News, they expressed that while Barron was flattered by the offer from the Florida Republican Party, he had pre-existing commitments that prevented him from participating.
Fast forward to 2024, Barron will embark on another significant journey – starting his freshman year at New York University (NYU). His father shared with the Daily Mail that Barron was accepted into several colleges but chose NYU’s prestigious business school, Stern, which is highly regarded.
