Al B. Sure! is opening up about his history with Kim Porter.
The singer known for “Nite and Day,” who had a relationship with a model in the 1990s and has a 33-year-old son named Quincy Brown with him, recently shared insights about Porter’s association with Sean “Diddy” Combs and his personal interactions with the disgraced mogul in the newly released Peacock documentary titled “Diddy: Crafting a Bad Boy Empire.
It has been claimed that he mentioned that Combs was not pleased with anyone associating romantically with Kimberly. According to Kimberly, she warned, “Stay away. Don’t interfere. You could end up getting hurt.
The well-known R&B artist, known as Albert Brown in reality, subsequently halted his speech due to ongoing court matters, assuring that he would reveal more information “at a later time.
He went on to explain, “In essence, you should heed Kimberly’s words, for not only was she attempting to rescue me, but she was also risking her own life.
Porter, who was the father of Christian Combs (age 26), and twins Jessie Combs and D’Lila Combs (both aged 18), passed away in November 2018 due to lobar pneumonia, as reported by the Los Angeles County Coroner. The cause of death was ruled natural.
Elsewhere in the documentary, Al B. Sure! addressed the nature of Combs’ relationship with Quincy.
The singer clarified, “It’s important to remember that people’s perceptions have been influenced by what they were given to believe, and the false claims about me over time such as ‘Puffy adopted your child.’ However, there was no adoption. That’s a fact. And if you’ve been paying attention, his name is still Brown.
Meanwhile, Combs’ team has refuted the allegations made in the film.
According to his legal team’s statement to TopMob News, this documentary repeats and reinforces false claims and conspiracy theories that have been directed at Mr. Combs for a long time now. It’s disheartening to witness NBC and Peacock engaging in behavior similar to sensationalist tabloids. By giving space to known fabricators to make baseless criminal allegations, the documentary demonstrates poor journalism at its worst.
After the arrest of Combs in September 2024, talk about the details surrounding Porter’s death came back up, causing Quincy, Christian, Jessie, and D’Lila to share their thoughts on the accusations publicly.
Although it’s been extremely hard for us to accept that she left us prematurely, the reason for her passing has been determined for some time now. There was no sign of any wrongdoing.
They went on to say that our mom should be celebrated for her beauty, strength, kindness, and love. They expressed a wish that her memory not be clouded by dreadful conspiracy theories.

On March 25th, federal agents from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) carried out search warrant operations at Sean “Diddy” Combs’ properties in Los Angeles and Miami, as confirmed by multiple law enforcement sources to NBC News. The warrant originated from the Southern District of New York, and an HSI New York spokesperson verified to TopMob News that they were executing law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from HSI teams in Los Angeles, Miami, and local law enforcement partners. According to sources, Mr. Combs was in the Miami area during the execution of these search warrants.
The revelation emerged concerning an ongoing investigation following accusations of sexual misconduct against Combs, which began in November with several accusers filing lawsuits. However, the musician has denied these allegations, stating in a December Instagram post: “Disgusting claims have been made against me by individuals seeking a quick profit. I want to make it unequivocally clear: I am not responsible for the atrocious acts being accused. I will vigorously defend my reputation, my family, and the truth.
A day following the execution of search warrants at both P. Diddy’s Los Angeles and Miami properties, his lawyer, Aaron Dyer, issued a statement. “The use of excessive military-style force was evident during the execution of search warrants at Mr. Combs’ homes,” said Dyer in a March 26th statement to TopMob News. “There is no justification for the overly aggressive display by law enforcement and the manner in which his children and staff were handled.”
Dyer pointed out that Combs was not detained but willingly spoke with and cooperated with authorities. “Contrary to media reports, neither Mr. Combs nor any of his family members have been taken into custody or had their travel restricted,” the statement added. “The unexpected raid, combined with a well-organized media presence, has led to an unwarranted rush to judgment against Mr. Combs and is merely a fishing expedition based on unfounded accusations made in civil lawsuits.
In response, Dyer conveyed Combs’ determination to vindicate himself. Moreover, he emphasized that there has been no ruling against Combs in any criminal or civil charges related to these allegations. He asserted that Combs is innocent and will persistently strive each day to establish his innocence.
During the searches, it was reported by multiple law enforcement sources who are knowledgeable about the warrant, that authorities from the Department of Homeland Security seized phones from Combs’ home in Miami before his planned trip to the Bahamas. Furthermore, several sources acquainted with the situation also mentioned that guns were found during the search.
A person acquainted with the situation has confirmed that NBC News learned four individuals – three women and one man – were questioned by investigators from the Southern District of New York regarding accusations involving sex trafficking, sexual misconduct, illicit drug dealing, and gun-related crimes, which are said to be associated with Combs.
On the very same day that search warrants were carried out at Combs’ homes in Miami and Los Angeles, one of his acquaintances, Brendan Paul, was apprehended by the Miami-Dade police on allegations of drug possession. This information was shared with NBC News by a source within law enforcement who is familiar with the situation.
According to the Miami-Dade arrest affidavit obtained by the outlet, Paul was detained for supposedly possessing cocaine and marijuana edibles. Prison records obtained by NBC News indicate that he was released on March 26 after posting bail.
“We have no intention of trying this case in the media,” Paul’s attorney, Brian Bieber, said in a statement provided to the outlet, “all matters will be addressed in court.”
In May, Paul agreed to a plea bargain, with his lawyer Bieber telling People, “Brendan accepted the prosecutor’s offer to enter into a diversion program. Upon completion of this program, the case against him will be dropped entirely.
On September 16, 2024, NBC News reported that he was taken into custody in the lobby of a New York hotel. The specific charges against him are yet undisclosed, and it’s unknown whether his arrest is connected to recent raids.
Mr. Combs’ legal representative, Marc Agnifilo, expressed disappointment towards the U.S. Attorney’s Office for choosing to pursue a prosecution that they consider unjust against their client. They emphasized that while Mr. Combs is not perfect, he is not a criminal either. In fact, Mr. Combs has willingly cooperated with this investigation and even moved to New York last week in preparation for these charges.
Following his arrest on a previously sealed indictment, the charges against Combs were made public on September 17.
The 54-year-old is accused of being involved in racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking through force, fraud or coercion, and transporting individuals for prostitution, as outlined in court documents obtained by NBC News.
The indictment claims that Combs mistreated, threatened, and coerced women and others close to him to satisfy his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and hide his actions over a period of more than ten years. The alleged behavior reportedly began around 2008.
In the documents, it’s stated that Combs used the employees, resources, and influence of the extensive business empire he led and controlled to create a criminal enterprise. This enterprise involved its members and associates in various crimes such as sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice.
NBC News reports that Combs pleaded not guilty in court, but the judge refused to grant him bail. Before the arraignment, Marc Agnifilo, his attorney, declared to reporters outside the courthouse that he would fight with every ounce of energy and strength he has, expressing full confidence from his legal team.
After his apprehension, Combs remained at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center and was refused a $50 million bail. This influential figure in music industry also faced suicide monitoring, which a source from TopMob News stated is a routine practice for prominent prisoners. However, he has since been removed from such surveillance.
A source revealed to NBC News that he was placed in the same sector of the prison as Sam Bankman-Fried, who is known for his involvement in cryptocurrency fraud cases.
34-year-old comedian Jeff Wittek admitted on September 29 that he had been to one of Diddy’s wild “freak off” parties, which took place around 2010 at a luxurious Miami residence.
On Jeff FM, Wittek described it as soaring around eight floors high, and as you ascended, the scenes became increasingly bizarre.
That unforgettable night left me absolutely stunned, for it was the very instant I witnessed something truly extraordinary – an event I had never before encountered in my entire life. Needless to say, I didn’t participate myself, but let’s just say the alcohol flowed freely and I found myself quite tipsy by the end of it all.
As Wittek put it, “It’s just crazy. I was literally there. I lived through it.”
At a press conference on October 1st, lawyer Tony Buzbee disclosed that 120 individuals have recently made sexual assault accusations against the rapper.
During a joint press conference with NBC News, Buzbee asserted that the accusations against Combs encompass alleged acts such as:
1. Physical sexual assault or rape.
2. Encouraging sexual activities involving controlled substances.
3. Sharing recorded sexual content.
4. Abuse of minors in a sexual context.
Later on, Erica Wolff’s legal representative made a statement addressing the accusations, stressing that Combs continues to assert his innocence in this matter.
She stated, “He isn’t able to counter every groundless accusation in what has turned into an irresponsible media spectacle. However, it is important to note that Mr. Combs firmly and unequivocally denies any claim of sexual misconduct, particularly against minors, as false and defamatory.
During a press conference held on October 1st, as reported by NBC News, Tony Buzbee, the accuser’s attorney, stated that one of the individuals making accusations against Combs was merely 9 years old at the time when they claim to have been assaulted by him.
According to the attorney, “25 of the accusers were minors at the time of the alleged incidents.”
Janice’s attorney, Natlie G. Figgers, conveyed in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter on Oct. 6 that it is deeply sorrowful for her to witness her son being judged based not on truth but on fabricated tales. She described the apparent public trial of her son before he gets his chance to prove his innocence as an agony hard to express in words. Just like any other individual, her son deserves a fair court hearing, an opportunity to voice his side, and to present evidence that will clear his name.
The legal representative for Beyoncé and Jay-Z responded following Piers Morgan’s show where Jaguar Wright suggested that the couple may have more victims similar to those of Diddy.
Lawyer Alex Spiro stated to TMZ on October 9th, “There’s gossip, there’s absurdity, and this goes beyond both – it’s a serious and direct allegation.
The lawyer advised Piers to take down the untrue claim, which he subsequently complied with and issued an apology.
On his October 8th program, Piers stated that at the time, they were absent and unable to respond or defend themselves. However, now, their legal representative has reached out to us, stating that those allegations are completely untrue and lack any foundation in reality.
