46-year-old actor Paul Danan, recognized mainly for his character on Hollyoaks, as well as his stints on Celebrity Love Island and Celebrity Big Brother, has passed away.
In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Paul Danan’s management team, Independent Creative PR, announced his untimely death at the age of 46.
Paul, renowned for his captivating TV appearances, remarkable skills, and endless compassion, served as a guiding light to countless individuals. The unfortunate event of his premature departure will create unfillable gaps in the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

Danan played the role of Sol Patrick in Hollyoaks from 1997 to 2001. He was also a contestant on both seasons of Celebrity Love Island, which is the predecessor to modern-day Love Island, in 2005 and 2006.
In the year 2017, he participated as a contestant during the 20th season of Celebrity Big Brother. Additionally, he has made appearances on various reality and entertainment programs such as Celebrity Coach Trip and Test Drive My Girlfriend.
Previously battling addiction, particularly to vaping, he shared a year ago that this habit led him to the Intensive Care Unit due to pneumonia, a complication arising from his multiple instances of respiratory collapse.
2023 saw him establishing a drama school, Morning After Drama, following the receipt of a generous lottery grant, catering to individuals battling addiction issues.
After learning about Paul Danan’s passing, fans and associates have been expressing their condolences on platform X, with TV personality Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace writing in a post: “My friend Paul Danan… I’m stunned and devastated…. my sweet man… I will hold dear all our joyful moments. Rest In Peace you beautiful, incredible, gifted soul.
