The family leader feels disheartened when he realizes that his oldest daughter lacks any discernible talent. He arranges for her to marry into the Kudo household following a proposal, without worrying about Miyo’s future, effectively leaving her behind. In the first season, Miyo and Kiyoka officially become engaged, eagerly anticipating their relationship’s next stage. The initial season establishes Miyo as an Usuba, one of the country’s most potent gift users. As the second season progresses, Miyo encounters Kiyoka’s parents, and his mother, Fuyu, openly reveals her animosity towards Miyo.

For the first time, Miyo pays a visit to the Kudo household and finds an unusual dynamic between her future husband and his mother, Fuyu. It appears that Fuyu harbors disdain for Miyo due to her family’s circumstances, the Saimori Family, as she considers Miyo unfit for her son.
