Transformers Future Lies in the Comics
2023’s Transformers films haven’t been doing so well at the box office, with 2024’s “Transformers One” underperforming significantly. However, there may be a silver lining for the franchise: the success of recent Transformers comics. In 2023, Skybound Entertainment and Image Comics introduced a new comic series that has been selling exceptionally well and receiving positive reviews, even surpassing every DC title. Additionally, another Transformers comic book line, “Energon Universe,” overseen by the creator of Invincible, Robert Kirkman, is also gaining popularity. If this trend continues, it appears that Hasbro may have found a new way to reignite interest in the robots. Time will tell if their strategy pays off!
