Bandai Namco has achieved a fresh sales record for the 2019 release, “Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown“. It’s been sold over six million times globally, which is an increase from the more than five million copies it had sold in November 2023. This action-packed flight game can be played on Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The global sales of the series surpassed 20 million in 2023, and with this recent milestone, it’s estimated that the total is now over 21 million.
After years of Ace Combat 7’s ongoing success, it leaves us pondering about what lies ahead. Back in 2021, the brand director Kazutoki Kono officially announced this title, with Unreal Engine 5 serving as its foundation. At present, an unnamed sequel is being developed by ILCA, known for SAND LAND and One Piece Odyssey, along with ORCA’s assistance.
