Gladiators is back for season 2 this Saturday night – and they are back and tougher than ever!
Again, the father-son team, Bradley and Barney Walsh, are back in charge for another season. They’re guiding a fresh group of competitors who aim to outperform the Gladiators in a series of matches leading up to the final test: The Eliminator.
Among the gladiators preparing for a face-off against opponents, there’s one named Dynamite who stands out. Despite being the youngest in the group, she shouldn’t be underestimated.

Emily Steel, often recognized as “Dynamite” on BBC One’s Gladiators, is a young weightlifter from England, making her the most youthful competitor at just 21 years of age.
2023 saw Emily shatter the British under-23 clean and jerk record. Earlier, she had been the holder of the under-20 64kg snatch record in the British age group weightlifting competitions.
For her tender years, Emily viewed the prospect of being a Gladiator as an inspiring chance to motivate young females, making them believe that they too could undergo training and embody strength.
Emily, who has been involved in sports throughout her life, expressed that she saw this upcoming Gladiators event in 2024 as a chance to demonstrate her athletic abilities and, ideally, motivate others by doing so.
As for the idea behind Dynamite, Emily explained that she is “small but mighty”.
She went on to say: “She may appear unassuming due to her non-intimidating demeanor and natural shyness, but be warned, once she’s engaged in a competition, she’s bound to come out victorious.
