The second season of “Ahsoka” is progressing at Lucasfilm and Disney Plus. It’s been reported that Baylan Skoll, a much-loved character from the series, will be portrayed by a new actor, Rory McCann, who is known for his role in “Game of Thrones”, taking over from the late Ray Stevenson.
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the actor who played The Hound in the popular Game of Thrones TV show is set to assume the role of a lightsaber-wielding antagonist in Ahsoka moving forward. This position will not be an easy one to fill, as Baylan Skoll and Ray Stevenson were widely praised for their performances in the Star Wars series by numerous fans.
In the year 2023, Ray Stevenson passed away suddenly due to heart complications, prior to the premiere of Ahsoka. The inaugural episode of the series was instead dedicated in his honor.
McCann is linking up with the “Star Wars” series when it’s at a particularly low ebb, as fans seem to be leaving the distant galaxy en masse.

It’s not necessarily implying that “Skeleton Crew” is bad. In fact, some who watched it found it to be a decent kids’ show. However, most viewers seem uninterested in it. Interestingly, despite being based on a well-known intellectual property, the show didn’t manage to rank among the top 10 in Nielsen streaming ratings, which is quite unexpected.

This implies that just because Rory McCann might do well as a substitute for Stevenson, it doesn’t necessarily mean that people will tune in to see his act.
For numerous Star Wars enthusiasts, the franchise has appeared lifeless for some time now under Kathleen Kennedy’s management. Recently, it seems more like a decaying corpse than the vibrant series we once knew. Lucasfilm, and therefore Kennedy, are seen as the ones who resurrected it, but now it falls upon Star Wars fans to bring it back to life again.
