Trinity Kirkconnell Reveals Matt James Breakup Timeline Shockingly

Rachael Kirkconnell‘s sister has entered the chat in wake in Matt James‘ breakup.

22-year-old Trinity Kirkconnell offers some clarity on the timing of the breakup between Bachelor alumni Matt James and Rachael Kirkconnell. Matt announced on January 16th that they had ended their four-year relationship. The separation was surprising to fans, as from January 12th to January 15th, he posted videos of them enjoying meals in London together.

Trinity commented on TikTok on January 16th, saying, “They were united at that point when he was sharing everything, just for clarification about the sequence of events.

It’s not clear when the “Bachelor” celebrities visited London, as neither has disclosed that information. In recent times, Matt—known for sharing food content—has also posted videos of him and Rachael enjoying meals in Aspen, Colorado, and Vancouver, without specifying the dates of those trips either.

Although Rachel hasn’t publicly commented on the split, she recently liked several fan comments about it on her latest Instagram post, a birthday tribute for Matt that she uploaded on December 5th.

Initially shared following the January 16th separation announcement, the text conveyed, “As I ponder over it more, I am convinced that he caught her off guard with this sudden move. Let’s show some understanding and allow her to react when she is ready.

Matt, who was the lead in The Bachelor season 25 that aired in 2021, shared news of their split through an Instagram post featuring a picture of him and Rachael, his winning contestant from the show, holding hands.

He penned: “Dear Heavenly Father, grant Rachel and me the fortitude to heal our wounded spirits. Provide us a tranquility regarding this choice to part ways, a serenity that surpasses human comprehension. Bless our loved ones with compassion and affection as they console us. And remind us, Lord, that our happiness originates from you.

Following her brief departure from Gerry Turner’s season on The Golden Bachelor, Joan Vassos later became the lead on the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelorette. It was during this season that she found love with contestant Chock Chapple and accepted his proposal.

In the November 2024 finale of The Golden Bachelorette, Joan shared her thoughts, saying, “Life has thrown many challenges at us, but we’ve proven that there is always hope, even as we grow older.” This heartfelt moment took place in Bora Bora, where Chock proposed, stating, “I’ve waited for this special moment in this incredible location to tell you that I love you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I look forward to waking up next to you every morning and kissing you goodnight.

As an over-the-moon fan, I can’t help but share my thoughts about the heartbreaking turn of events during the season finale of “The Bachelorette” (season 21). It seemed that Jenn Tran, a radiant 26-year-old, had found her perfect match in Devin Strader, 28. But little did we know, as the season drew to a close in September, that Devin would leave Jenn hanging once the cameras stopped rolling on “After the Final Rose.

During the September 3rd broadcast, Jenn explained to host Jesse Palmer that he had been expressing passionate declarations of affection one day, only to act as if he didn’t care at all the next. She said, “All the commitments he made to me, all the love he claimed he wanted to share with me, it seemed like it vanished overnight.

The situation escalated further as Devin posted a 13-minute video on Instagram detailing his perspective of the events, not just admitting accountability but also explaining the reasons behind his decision to end the relationship during a 15-minute conversation over the phone.

Instead of saying Jenn accused him of ending their relationship over the phone in August, it could be rephrased as: Jenn maintained that he ended their relationship during a call in August, but he insisted that she asked him why things were wrong and wanted him to tell her in person before he had a chance to do so.

In my expertise, I found myself at a loss for words, unsure of how else to proceed. However, I had planned on sharing this with her face-to-face. In essence, she accelerated the process, so to speak.

After that, Jenn gracefully moved towards the stage of “Dancing With the Stars,” and there’s a possibility she found a special place in the heart of her partner, Sasha Farber. Ever since their elimination on October 29th, they have been fueling romance speculations.

In November 2022, Greg Grippo, who was one of Katie Thurston’s suitors on The Bachelorette the previous year, appeared alongside Victoria Fuller in the season eight finale of Bachelor in Paradise. During their time there, they declared they were in a relationship. However, in April 2024, he disclosed that they had ended their relationship.

Prior to Victoria Fuller and Greg Grippo making their relationship official during the finale of ‘Bachelor in Paradise’s 8th season, Victoria Fuller had previously broken off her engagement with John DePhillipo.

Status: Divorced

Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist became engaged in November 2023, during the final episode of the first season of “Golden Bachelor”, and they officially married in a televised wedding ceremony held in January 2024.

However, three months after their nuptials, the couple announced that they were breaking up.

During an interview on Good Morning America with Theresa in April 2024, Gerry expressed that we’ve had deep talks and carefully examined our circumstances, including our living arrangements. He went on to say that as a result of these discussions, we both agree that it seems appropriate for us to end our marriage.

They reached a divorce settlement in June 2024, according to court records reviewed by TopMob News.

After courting 32 potential partners, tennis player Joey Graziadei found his ideal partner in project manager Kelsey Anderson. “I can’t wait another second to express my love for you,” Joey told his final choice during the season finale in March 2024, as he got down on one knee. “There’s something about you. You have an energy that’s contagious and makes me smile. It’s a feeling I’ve never experienced before.”
Picturing a lifetime with the woman from Louisiana, he continued, “I’ve always envisioned having a beautiful life, but I truly didn’t realize how breathtakingly beautiful that life could be until I met you.

Although underwater welder John Henry Spurlock and nurse Kat Izzo didn’t hit it off until halfway through season nine of “Bachelor in Paradise”, they were ready to take a leap. “I’m going to attempt something new,” he said as he presented an Ascher cut Neil Lane diamond. “Today, I am following my heart. My heart tells me that you are wonderful, you are everything I have been searching for.”

However, a few days after the finale, they announced that their paths were diverging due to conflicting career goals. In a joint Instagram post, they expressed gratitude for the love and support they had received from family, friends, and “Bachelor Nation”.

As an ardent fan, I can’t help but share my excitement over Eliza Isichei’s oceanfront proposal acceptance by Aaron Bryant! Despite her initial apprehensions about the Paradise engagement, she gracefully agreed. The fact that he consulted her mother for her blessing truly touched her heart. In her own words, “I couldn’t control what was coming out of my mouth in that moment.”

Interestingly, the finale’s postscript highlighted some challenges Eliza faced after their Mexico trip with Aaron. A few days later, they confirmed they had parted ways amicably, expressing nothing but positivity and mutual respect for each other. On Instagram, December 2023, he expressed his feelings as, “It’s tricky to watch it all unfold, but we’re navigating our amicable split with only good vibes and admiration for one another.

As a die-hard admirer, I find myself compelled to recount the heartrending tale of Kylee Russell, the devoted postpartum nurse. Despite Aven Jones’ reluctance to propose traditionally—a step he supposedly had planned during his courtship with Bachelorette Rachel Recchia—Kylee eventually agreed to Aven’s proposal on Paradise, choosing to seize the opportunity to make their relationship work.

This decision, however, meant that her carefully selected engagement dress remained untouched in its packaging. “I simply had to follow my heart,” she explained. “Love is about taking risks.”

Just two days after their December 2023 finale aired, she shared on her Instagram Stories that their relationship had sadly come to an end, dissolving due to multiple instances of infidelity. Aven later extended his apologies to Kylee, acknowledging the mistakes he made and the pain he caused her: “I have committed significant errors in our relationship and hurt someone very dear to me.

In a playful tone, Charity Lawson shared with TopMob News her delight over how this season unfolded, though it was a mere hint of the grand finale in August 2023. Integrative medicine specialist Dotun Olubeko knelt down, declaring their love as “flawless,” and posing the question to the child and family therapist: “Will you make this fairytale come true by accepting my proposal?”

Though their future wedding remains undecided between 2025 or 2026, Charity is first set to appear on Dancing With the Stars. On The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose, Dotun excitedly told Charity, “I know you enjoy dancing and having fun. We’ve talked about this amazing opportunity, and I am thrilled to be the one to tell you that you’ll be on Dancing With the Stars! Let’s do it!

Status: Set to Tie the Knot

Zach Shallcross is all set for his blissful future. Despite some bumps along the way during the Fantasy Suite, Zach Shallcross concluded season 27 in March 2023 with a proposal. “I am deeply in love with you,” he confessed to travel nurse Kaity Biggar. “You are my universe. The affection I have for you surpasses anything I could ever have imagined.”

In July 2023, the Texas-based couple took their relationship to another level, as Kaity posted on Instagram, “Now official housemates.” They’re now busy planning their October 2025 wedding vows.

The current status is: Split

Translation: Originally, Danielle Maltby and Michael Allio from ‘Bachelor Nation’ seemed destined for a perfect relationship. However, a year after Danielle moved from Nashville to be with Michael in Ohio, they announced their separation. On an episode of Jason Tartick’s podcast, ‘Trading Secrets’, Michael explained, “We invested a lot into this relationship, and it’s heartbreaking when it doesn’t work out. When relationships don’t succeed, when you realize that love is there but compatibility isn’t, you grieve not just the loss of that person and friend in your life, but also the future you had imagined together.

Brandon Jones publicly declared his eternal love for Serene Russell during their appearance on season seven of ‘Paradise’. However, their relationship ended five months later. In a joint statement on Instagram in May 2023, they explained that they had tried to work on their issues privately but it was challenging under public scrutiny. They expressed their pain and asked for understanding, as there is still love between them.

Status: Breakup

Rachel’s relationship with general contractor Tino Franco encountered difficulties during their 2022 season broadcast, as he was seen kissing another woman. In an interview on The Viall Files, he admitted, “I do not defend my actions at all. It was wrong, unfair to Rachel, and something I regret deeply. It continues to haunt me daily. I am ashamed of what happened and would change it a million times over if given the chance.

In summary, Susie Evans had a complex relationship with Clayton Echard during the 2022 season finale. They initially parted ways, but later reconciled off-camera. However, their relationship did not last long as they split again six months later. Susie, who is based in L.A., expressed on her blog “Susie Was Like” that the breakup was for the best, as she wasn’t thriving and felt out of alignment with her true self despite having many joyous moments together.

After dating Justin Glaze, a participant from Bachelor Nation, Susie later confirmed that they had split up in August 2024.

Status: The relationship between Minnesota elementary school teacher Michelle and Texas-based sales exec Nayte Olukoya ended.

Michelle received a Neil Lane sparkler from Nayte and a $200,000 check from producers for their future home, but the couple didn’t seem to have a strong connection, announcing their breakup six months after their season finale aired in December 2021.

On The Viall Files, Nayte admitted that there were many ups and downs, numerous arguments, fights, and fundamental differences between them. He also acknowledged that not having a face-to-face conversation to end their relationship was impolite.

In 2023, Michelle started dating Jack Leius, and they announced their engagement the following year.

The pair Maurissa Gunn and Riley Christian, who captivated viewers with their shared vision of idyllic Sunday mornings during BIP season seven, unfortunately spent only a handful of weekends together. In a joint statement issued in January 2022, they announced that they have chosen to part ways. Despite not anticipating this separation, they find themselves at a stage where each requires personal growth and development.

Status: Split

As a dedicated follower, I recall the historic moment when Bachelor Nation’s pioneering same-sex couple exchanged rings during season six of “Bachelor in Paradise.” However, they shared their separation news on Halloween in 2019.

Throughout our relationship, love and concern for each other have been paramount. Our main focus has always been what’s best for us as a couple. With deep affection for one another, we’ve made the difficult decision to step back from our relationship. We aim for what’s best in the long term, and currently, that means growing separately.

Current Status: Engaged

Despite parting ways during ‘The Bachelorette’s seventh season in Mexico, Noah Erb and Abigail Heringer discovered an unending love for each other. They initially settled down in San Diego but have recently purchased a home in Tulsa, where Noah hails from.

On her Instagram account in July 2023, Abigail excitedly announced that she had bought her first house, stating it was the start of their ‘Chip and Joanna Gaines’ era. They are eager to embark on their new chapter together and create countless memories within this new home.

Before relocating, Noah proposed to Abigail at a beachfront home in San Diego in August 2023. They are now planning their wedding as they prepare for the next phase of their life together.

As an ardent fan, I can’t help but feel a thrill of excitement as I imagine myself in their shoes! Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile, both finalists on Matt James’ season, decided to take a sneak peek at married life with an impromptu city hall ceremony. This little practice run took place just one year after they left the shores of Paradise, where they left as an engaged couple.

“Tied the knot!”, Serena, now co-hosting the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast with her husband, gleefully announced in an October 2022 video post. “We’re still having a wedding this September,” she added with a twinkle in her eye, “but who wouldn’t want to marry twice?

Status: Married

Kenny Braasch, a boy band manager, expressed his profound affection for Mari Pepin by saying, “I am absolutely smitten by you,” as he placed a Neil Lane diamond ring on her finger during the finale of Paradise in 2021. He continued, “And I must admit, I can hardly imagine my life without you.” The Maryland beauty queen, who initially captured Bachelor Matt’s heart, relocated to Kenny’s hometown of Chicago and began planning their lifelong journey together.

Before they exchanged vows in an oceanfront ceremony with 65 guests in Puerto Rico in November 2023, they made their love everlasting by getting matching tattoos during a trip to the Bahamas in May 2023.

Status: Married

Previously on Bachelor in Paradise season seven in 2021, Becca (a former Bachelorette) and Thomas Jacobs (one of Katie Thurston’s suitors) started dating. They separated during the show, but rekindled their relationship post-production. In May 2022, they announced their engagement, with Becca taking the initiative to propose. As she expressed to TopMob News, she hopes this empowers others to break traditional rules. Thomas reciprocated the sentiment in October of the same year. In September 2023, they were blessed with their first child, a son named Benson. On Instagram, Becca expressed her profound love and admiration for their tiny bundle of joy. Just weeks after welcoming Benson, the couple decided to tie the knot in an impromptu October 13 ceremony.

Status: Split

In the final episode of ‘The Bachelorette’ season 17 (2021), Katie got engaged to Blake Moynes. Their romantic connection was solidified during their overnight date that included a paintball adventure, a cozy cowboy tub, and a heartfelt discussion under the night sky.

Kneeling down, Blake expressed to Katie, “You are worthy of the whole world, and I am eager to stand by your side and assist you daily from now on.

Three months following the broadcast of their proposal, the couple disclosed their separation. In synchronized statements, they expressed, “We are incredibly thankful for the moments we experienced together and the journey that has unfolded this year. However, we have realized that we are not suitable as life partners, and it is the kindest decision for us to advance separately.”

Now, she is betrothed to comedian Jeff Arcuri.

Current Status: Separated

For some time now, there have been numerous speculations surrounding the relationship status of Matt and graphic designer Rachael Kirkconnell following their separation during his 2021 season, subsequent reunion, and then another split.

In a recent interview with TopMob News at a Baskin-Robbins event on July 18, Matt shared his thoughts about the impact of social media on their relationship, stating, “I think everyone needs to take a break from social media. Our lives are so intertwined with our phones that when someone steps away from being on their phone 24/7, people assume it’s the end of the world.”

Despite the breakup rumors, Matt expressed his belief in marriage as the ultimate goal for him and Rachael. He told TopMob News back in May 2022, “I think the good thing about our relationship is we go at our own pace. And you’ve seen with other couples—they force the engagement and they’re not together anymore. So, I think what we got is a working recipe, and we’ll get there.”

However, less than three years after their initial split, Matt announced on Instagram on January 16, 2025, that he and Rachael had parted ways once again. He wrote, “Father God, give Rachael and I strength to mend our broken hearts. Give us a peace about this decision to end our relationship that transcends worldly understanding. Shower our friends and family with kindness and love to comfort us. And remind us that our Joy comes from you, Lord.

Following her entry to take over Clare Crawley’s 2020 season of “The Bachelorette”, Tayshia came across and developed feelings for Zac Clark. While they departed her season with an engagement, the ex-“Bachelorette” host-turned-co-host later disclosed that their relationship had its fair share of highs and lows.

Speaking candidly, she expressed on the “The Ben and Ashley I. Almost Famous” podcast in August 2021 that maintaining a new relationship while being absent for a couple of weeks can be challenging. Is that clearer?

Following that incident, it seemed as though we needed to recall the reasons for our relationship, and indeed, such a reflection is quite natural. However, in November 2021, TopMob News reported that they had parted ways.

Status: Split

During season 16 of ‘The Bachelorette’, Clare found herself deeply smitten by Dale Moss. So much so that they got engaged just four episodes in. However, the twists didn’t end there. Weeks after Clare was replaced by Tayshia, Dale publicly announced on social media that his relationship with the hairdresser had ended.

A month later, whispers of reconciliation swirled around them when they were seen together again. Jumping ahead to July 2021, after numerous get-togethers, Clare and Dale were completely reunited – with a ring on it. However, in September, they decided to part ways once more. Now, Clare is blissfully married to Ryan Dawkins, and they’re eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first child together.

Status: Split

Following a short engagement to victor Hannah Ann Sluss and later separation from second runner-up Madison Prewett, fans were optimistic that things would work out for Peter the third time around. Regrettably, his relationship with The Bachelor season 24’s Kelley Flanagan did not last, as the pilot announced on New Year’s Eve 2020 that their nine-month romance had ended.

Pete shared on Instagram that although our relationship was rich with many lovely moments, it ultimately didn’t succeed in the long run. However, Kelley remains someone I will forever hold a unique affection towards.

In 2022, they made another attempt at flying again, but in May of this year, they disclosed that their relationship had come to an end.

Status: Split

After the intense 2020 conclusion, they shared on Instagram that their romance was coming to an end. In his post, Peter expressed, “Madi and I have both decided not to continue our relationship further. It wasn’t an easy decision for either of us, but after many open discussions, we feel this is the best choice for both of us. The affection and esteem I hold for Madi will persist.

In her statement, Madi expressed that she’ll continue to cherish and honor him. She firmly believes that their lives were destined to intertwine, and they’ve both grown for the better as a result.

Status: Split

During the 24th season of ‘The Bachelor’, Peter and Hannah Ann had a brief engagement. Regrettably, by part two of the finale, it became clear that they were facing difficulties just a month into their exclusive relationship. More specifically, Hannah Ann was taken aback when she discovered that Peter still harbored feelings for Madison from earlier in the season.

She said, “All along, I just wanted someone to reciprocate my wholeheartedness. And you ended our engagement,” she lamented as she returned the ring. “You took that from me. That’s because I trusted you, and that’s what I’ve always been asking of you – ‘Show patience with me. Have faith in me.’

Current Status: Married
After their #vanlife days, Dean Unglert (one of Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay’s finalists) and Caelynn Miller-Keyes, who dated Colton Underwood during season six of Paradise in 2019, have been an item ever since. They split briefly during that time but reconciled later on.
Fast forward to 2022, they got engaged and tied the knot at a camp-themed wedding in the Colorado mountains on September 23. Caelynn expressed her excitement about marrying her cohost from their podcast “Help! We Suck at Being Newlyweds”, stating, “I just love him so much. I’m excited to be marrying someone who is such a good person, who makes me laugh every day, even on tough days. Our life together will be really fun.
