It seems Team Asobi may be planning additional content for Astro Bot, as hinted by an unexpected source: a 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle. Former PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida was sent this puzzle post his departure, featuring the PS5 ship from the game and numerous Special Bots surrounding it. Detail-oriented fans have spotted a character not yet present in the game within the image, indicating that this character could be introduced at some point in the future.
In the upper part of the image, slightly to the left of the Astro Bot logo, there are two volcanoes. Near them, you’ll find Kazuya from Tekken series engaged in combat with Heihachi. Interestingly, while completing Birdy Barrage will earn you Kazuya, Heihachi is not part of the game at this time. The bot’s updated character model for Astro’s Playroom suggests that he might be included as additional content in a future update.
Ever since its launch in September 2024, the platformer has added five speedrun levels and a festive one named “Winter Wonder” at no cost. Given that another Special Bot seems to be in development, it’s probable that they will connect to a fresh level somehow. With a State of Play speculated to occur next month, we might not have to wait long for the reveal of this upcoming Astro Bot content.
